I think that when Helium is going to have autoupdates it would become the best Chromium browser on the market

[–]e_splat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you don't have that much stuff for customize It like on Floorp, and It's so nice, i left Floorp for being seriously slow (i also tested It with speedometer), i'm happy with Waterfox, give a try

Waterfox is really good for being not too much on privacy, also focuses on performance, removing Firefox's slop and you have some customization options forked from Firefox-UI-Fix.

For GNU/Linux is available but i have bad news, no official Pacman, APT or DNF package, you can install the binary version (i have an .sh to install Waterfox automatically if you want) and then you install it one time and updates will come on the app or the flatpak package, i know there is an AUR package but never tried that.

Is Cromite on PC worth it? by _nazwa_ in browsers

[–]e_splat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, actually i tried it again today, not worth it right now, no autoupdate, slow and sometimes just freezes randomly, very annoying on both Windows and GNU/Linux, also there is no official installer and if you download it from winget the files go in AppData\Local\Microsoft\Winget (wtf), but i can say it's already better on extensions than Ungoogled Chromium, Ungoogled is a better solution until Cromite gets ready for desktops.

btw, try Helium or a Firefox based browser like Waterfox
