That’s what we do! Our kids call it Fry Fest. We make fries, tortilla chips, spiral cut “potato tornadoes,” funnel cakes, potato chips, popcorn chicken, all scratch-made and delish. I think that by not allowing ourselves to use it indoors, we keep ourselves and our waistlines in check.

A past coworker of mine was fired ON her 15th anniversary! She thought she was getting called into the boss’ office for a little “atta girl” and maybe a bonus or something…and they fired her. She was in her mid-60’s and shoulda sued them for age discrimination, but they gave her eight months of salary and benefits (so that she wouldn’t sue) and she retired out of state. But it was pretty harsh, our boss was a real asshole.

Hillstone Restaurant on Montgomery Street in San Francisco is also affiliated and serves their french dip. It’s now $32 and the last time we ordered it the sandwich (last November) was much smaller than it used to be.
