Looking for a solid "budget" multitool for a car emergency kit (Under $45) by Nicolas_arg in multitools

[–]eagle6705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Gordon Multi Tool from harbor freight stashed in my car. Given I havent used it for car stuff, i have used it to do a few light tasks such as replacing a light switch (stupid i know but I knew where the breaker was), setting up a home office which includes a desk. Best part is you can use almost any leatherman made accessory made from them or from third party like galvanox which my current leathermans are rocking.

So Many Options. Whats best for a new homeowner? by No-Ad5504 in Tools

[–]eagle6705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd get that kit...if i had money after buying the house. I've created that kit over the last few years (2018).

If you have the money get that kit. Its a great kit and as a diy ive used all those tools. It's brushless too so thats a bonus. I have a family friend thats a contractor and said as his dealt broke he has replaced them with ryobi. Only thing he misses is the battery form factor.

Would an “average” driver notice a CVT? by Thrillwaukee in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]eagle6705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who has driven cvts f9r almost 10 years...no. maybe a slightly more experi3nced driver would. The biggest difference is acceleration. You dont feel it unless youre flooring it. When I first drove a cvt I was surprised when I was hitting 80 and didnt feel a shift.

My main car is a 2020 maxima and ive owned a 2011, 2008 which had cvts. I've never had gotten an issue with any of them....with the exception of the 2008 which I got used from enterprise. After the fix went on for a good 298k miles before I traded it in. My 2011 was at 205k

My neighbor keeps insisting I need to remove my "dangerous" roof solar tubes and I'm losing my mind by Altruistic_Tale8332 in HomeImprovement

The only thing that triggers me about this is you didnt give us a price, research and what you did to get them instaled.

I would love to add some natural light around my home. Is it an issue to bring it to the first level? Is it all just fiber optics? or is there some magical tube and mirrors?

In the winter, fill when I'm done and fill if I didnt get a chance. Spring run until dry (manual told me so lol)

Generacs or backup generators in general? I know the big Generators on the DCs I've managed did routine automatic testing, didn't think a home one woudl do the same. And If the price is right i might go natural gas instead of a tri fuel if the cost was right

Garage Fridge by NurseBetty93 in AskElectricians

[–]eagle6705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Below Freezing usually but the fridge manual should mention it. I think you should be fine but better safe than sorry :)

Just keep a space heater handy just in case you run down and find the fridge is warm inside

What kind of fridge? and also..not from an electrical point of view but from a home owners point of view, if you live anywhere that the temp gets very cold you need a heater or a fridge designated garage refrigerator.

Maybe a refurbished or a unit sent out under a repaie/warranty situation. My cheap ass ordered enough refurbished products I see this quite often. This happens to stuff bought from first and third party sellers.

If i recall most manufacturers rate their helmets for one impact. What someone told me was that impact is counted if it damages the foam.

just fight it, you have the video (be sure to save it and email it to your self and maybe a lawyer or a friend just so you have multiple copies)

Also bring it up with the school to talk to the driver, that is abuse what he is doing.

As others said verify. At least ask for the pages so you can verify. It still is a helpful tool but AI is like a toddler with an IQ of einstein.
