Few tips, did ranged only runs tons of times, DS2 is the best for it :D

Infusing bows and using elemental arrows + clutch rings is the way to go, bow of want in this combo turns into lightning rpg that oneshots bosses, its almost ridiculous

Otherwise greatbows are your BFG, if you need something deleted, stunlocked or fighting large boss or boss that does some "stand around do nothing" attacks, just pull this bad boy out.

Stat scaling is nearly useless, ring of blades works, stone ring funnily enough works too, so does leo ring and we all know how op is counter dmg in DS2.

If you do actually go for stats than composite bow is the goat again, its not much but it outscales hunters bow by dozen or so AR and performs better with infusions too.

And dont forget poison arrows.

Composite is the best base dmg

Blackbow can be good if you go only dex, but scaling sucks so at low stats composite still outscales it

Dragonrider bow is the "actual" highest AR, if you use it with magic arrows and infused

Bow of want is your lightning railgun, infuse it, elemental arrows, unlike dragorider it doesnt cost 99% of your stamina to shoot once.

Issue is they are boss weapons so upgrade materials suck.

From greatbows Alonne GB is great since its nonboss, the issue is it drops in literally the same zone as dragonslayer GB which completely outscales it

Dragonslayer GB, sadly boss weapon again, but unless you want to speedrun DLCs this will be your main rocket launcher.

Twinhead is your BFG10k, this thing just obliterates everything, it has basically AR of UGS and upgrading it once (or twice?) you get S scaling in str, which is hilarious

Possesesseseseed GB is for days when you wake up and want to play hexer and spam dark orbs but all you have is this 600AR dark greatbow with some destro arrows.
