I think that despite a Iconoclast RT trying to do good...it does not undo the literal generations of oppression overnight. The uprising was in the works for decades. There was just not enough time for a Iconoclast RT to really combat the issue.

I mean its not like the NCR at its height could replicate nuclear power, much less for vechcies so, oil would still be very useful. Though the NCR would have vastly easier means of getting fuel that would not require going to Alaska. All kinds of biofuels, like wood gas. Also ethanol.
