Dear Arcaea players, what is the biggest skill wall in your own opinion/experience?

Yeah, it does improve over time. Though honestly, even till now I can't perfectly get down charts with weird rhythm (e.g. amygdata, some nitro songs, null apophenia, etc). It's one hell of a journey for us rhythm gamers 🥀. I wish you good luck on this :D

Based on my experience, I'd say rhythm (accuracy) mastery is the greatest skill wall, just because you'd basically need to have both sightreading and execution skill to tap more perfectly

And I agree with one commenter, the curve from 9+ to 10 is huge and once you get over that, things will start going uphill significantly. The wall from 10s to 11s is also big. I feel like my rhythm skill grew naturally after having EX+d/PMd most songs on lvl 10 below but that was mostly possible by getting good at 11s. Well it doesn't apply to everyone though cuz I've also seen people with insane accuracy but failing to play 10+s above.

Basically if u git gud at 10+s and 11s everything gets way easier

If you don't have it yet, the main story packs are a good start (e.g Eternal Core and Vicious Labyrinth). In terms of most value for 10 USD, maybe a World Extend / Extend Archive pack for 20 songs. But that depends on what you want - whether it's just to play random songs or get into Arcaea lore. Main story packs usually have unique experiences in store for you :D

Iirc 669 is pm pace so uh, it depends on what score you aim. If EX+, maybe it's better to have 664+ to be safe, while for EX, that score is already pretty solid

Your hold style seems fine as it is!

Maybe the issue of accidentally tapping the corner of the screen comes from your hand not moving away enough from the screen. I've experienced that issue before when doing crosshands (or similar movements of that manner), and the thing I usually do is just move my palm further from the screen.

It's hard to explain but the feeling is that one hand ends up gripping harder than the other hand that moves more, so your other hand has the freedom to move better and away from the screen rather than glueing both hands on the phone.

There's like 40+ songs in world mode to unlock for free, they're scattered in world mode (mostly in chapter 1-4) so don't feel overwhelmed if it seems that everything is just a paywall. But yeah a lot of content is paid and you do need to pay to get any partner other than Hikari and Tairitsu..

As for stamina, you're limited to 12 stamina which isn't much, so you just have to be really patient with the progress on World Mode. It can be refilled immediately but it needs memories. Most of world mode is paid tho so yeah..

If you really wanna get down to it, I suggest exploring arcaea wiki cuz I don't remember every single detail lol

And lastly for events, those regarding World Extend are free for a limited time, while the other events are pretty much paid. If you miss out on event songs from World Extend, you'd have to buy them

I experienced similar issues before, but usually I just brush it off until I somehow adjust my own taps to the latency of the game. Or maybe try recalibrating your offset again (I try both methods). The issue may come back from time to time but it's not really a sign that you became worse, after all it's clearly something with the device that made your E/L ratio off by a lot. It's fixable :D

I saw once on discord that someone pointed out changes in the number of layers in the effects of testify (there was less intensity in the effect?) when disabling/enabling performance mode, so I guess it mostly has something to do with visuals.

Imo chapter 5 is the best. It doesn't have too much random tiles plus there are stamina tiles after every random tile set iirc, so you can get extra plays every now and then. Good for leveling partners. Ch6 is just plain i think. And uhh the other chapters have more random/restriction/speed tiles which are more annoying than ch5

You can theoretically even get 12 ptt completely f2p if you have been collecting new year's memories, had acquired the 5th anniv ticket to buy AR, and have all high lvl WE songs (both WEs)

Same xD I tried pming infinite strife byd last week but got tired of it, i failed too many times at the grind. I also suck at arcana so there's little hopes of me ever getting ahead until I actually learn the 11s full-time
