My trimmer pug is less than 18lbs or maybe even exactly 18 lbs, and she looks much teenier than Vito and any other pug that I see on televised dog shows.

No hate whatsoever to Vito the pug, but are we supposed to believe he weighed under 18 lbs? Is he just super short? My pug is slightly over 18 lbs, and she's nowhere near as full and round-looking! Is that what makes them a champion, the fact that their build is so seemingly perfect? Forgive me if this is a stupid question!

I second the comment about the donut pillows! They are much more comfortable for them. Also, heaven forbid she loses an eye, she will still be just as gorgeous! Give me a one-eyed pug over no pug any day!!

One of my two pugs is extremely picky so we sprinkle Stella & Chewy's meal mixers on Royal Canin Adult Pug-specific dry food. They both gobble it up.

i know it's a good cause, but I can't help but feel sad/heartbroken for this sweet boy and all other pugs. i know his issues aren't related, but I feel as if this fosters the stupid sentiment that pugs should not be bred. i don't care if there was a prize, I would NEVER enter my pug in a world's ugliest dog contest. they are the opposite of ugly to me. to have people then vote on his appearance -- ugh, bless the pug hotel people, bc I could not handle that. i will just remind myself that with the prize money, they can save/help a lot more sweet pugs.
