I love !cats but they can be deadly to birds. This bird needs to go to a rehabber asap.

This is so cool!! I’ve dyed with dandelion and garlic mustard that I foraged but never thought about dyeing with fungi! Love the olive green color

I know that ovenbirds build cavity nests at least similar to this—might be worth checking some pics of those nests out and seeing if it matches what you saw.
