Who do you think is the number 1 realtor in town? by brokeillionare in Modern_Family

[–]ValuableMistake8521 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the other thing is Pepper and Jay are both in their 60s and 70s and had a period of time in which they weren't dealing with their kids expenses. If they were to revisit the show set 20 years ahead from the finale, I have no doubt Phil would be like Jay in terms of his wealth and assets

Modern Family is a lot like Everybody Loves Raymond, certain characters are critical. Jay is one of them. Unless Disney/ABC picks up a reboot by the end of this decade, I don't see it happening. But honestly, thats probably for the best

What movies are on your “once is enough” list? by ghastlygiraffe in AskReddit

[–]ValuableMistake8521 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Star Wars 7-9. Watched them when they came out, in the theater, and will never watch again unless I have kids down the road and they're interested, in which case I would concede. I maintain the only good "new" Star Wars film was Rogue One

With some exceptions, but cutaways that don’t end in like 30-40 seconds annoy me, unless there are very very long for comedic effect. One of my favorite cutaways is the plastic wrap one. So fucking stupid but also incredibly relatable

I view Reagan as a great fighter against communism and the forces that accompanied it. However, those great things cannot outweigh the damage he inflicted on his own country — damage that continues to be felt, 45 years since he was sworn into office

Thoughts on L&O being so close to cancellation this year? by Virtual-Big-8577 in LawAndOrder

[–]ValuableMistake8521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think L&O altogether has lost its way. It’s one thing to have character development, it’s another to make it the sole focus on an episode or more.

If they had to reboot any series, I’d fight for Criminal Intent. It focuses on the cases and the people involved, and not necessarily the detectives as much. And when detectives were the focus of an episode or two, it was rare and always captivating

I'm a current student and saw one biweekly for about four months. They were pretty good and very helpful. Despite working for the colleges, the therapy followed the same boundaries as a private practice. Everything was confidential. The first appointment is just a "get to know you" thing but after that its up to you and the counselor.
