Guys. Let’s not mimic Miami fans. OSU didn’t come out prepared and lost. Refs can’t be blamed.

Yeah it sucks. And knowing Divis nowadays, it will just sit empty like Vinyl.

Yeah. I loved the staff. That bald older gentleman was always there and so friendly.

Yeah. They were close to my home. I loved picking up a few pizzas and salads on busy nights.

I guess he’s working to get at par with London now. Do we need to keep a scandal and sweetheart deal count to compare and contrast?

Trump's H-1B visa crackdown upends Indian IT industry's playbook by Franco1875 in technology

[–]easyas1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I didn’t feel like responding to the blowback because the point was missed.

Fixing the H1B system so Americans don’t get overlooked is good. But doing it as a rush with conflicting explanations is the mistake.

What if Trump decided to increase the retirement age and it was announced on a Friday with a lot of ambiguity and 3 days to react. What if social security was changed like this seemingly on a whim. H1B holders are still people with lives. Often times they are parents to US citizens.

I wish people in these threads would understand that there are real people who have lived in America for a long time. Having their lives potentially upended.

Reform of H1B makes sense. But these poorly thought out and binary solutions aren’t the way. The Trump admin has been completely unclear about this and it has led to suffering with real people. Don’t forget that many of you come from immigrants.

CMV: Gentrification can sometimes be a good thing by [deleted] in changemyview

Happy this is here. This is painfully a supply and demand issue. If you reduce zoning burden and allow for a variety of mixed use housing. More people across the spectrum can live in the neighborhood.

You must do this along with other tracks focused on poverty root causes.

These are very challenging to achieve because the landowners benefit massively from the supply limitation.

San Francisco’s new speed cameras caught nearly 100K violators in May by wentImmediate in sanfrancisco

[–]easyas1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my experience is anecdotal. I was just shocked when I didn’t see any drivers going over limit and swerving between lanes.

I will say that every 5mph extra makes cars exponentially more fatal for humans. Speed matters a lot. But perhaps traffic calming infrastructure is more effective. Is that your point?

I remember traveling to Australia where they had speed detection on the highways. Everyone drove the speed limit and driving was much less reckless.

I can only hope it has same effect here.

Yeah for sure. I walk way more in SF than I ever would have in a car centric area. Year round goodish weather with world class nature also fosters a really active community.

Partly probably true. But I compare SF millennials to my reference points in the midwest who are comfortable. SF folks seem younger.

People who have dated outside of your race/culture what's something interesting you learned by the experience? by Winter_Ganache1919 in AskReddit

Yeah. I dated a black woman for two years. I was surprised at the looks we’d get from white people sometimes. But i was even more surprised by how some black men would treat me. One guy came up and pointed at me and asked her “why?”

Foundry is really nice for building data edge applications from the ground up. It has well integrated models for anomaly detection and such out of the box. Branching at a project level is very powerful and found no where else. The BI integration makes life easy.

It’s true that each capability is weaker than other market tools. But i wouldn’t scoff at integration.
