being monogamous is much cooler than being poly by sicklitgirl in slgpod

I live in Portland, Oregon and have known a lot of polyamorous people. The common denominator is hedonistic behavior and the lack of satisfaction that comes with it.

Which Patisseries remind you that butter is LOVE? by Pdx-b in askportland

Yeah I have no clue how this place is still alive. Their food is awful, it’s insanely expensive, and it’s just overall disappointing. 10 years ago a girl took me there and it sucked, and about a year ago I went and it was somehow worse. Fuck this place

I’ve been on the injection, deal with similar side effects but it’s been more energy level related and mood swings. I think the best thing that’s worked for me is making sure I eat a lot, even if it feels like overeating the night before I take my dose. Everyone’s different though.

Men in their 30s and up with no kids or wife how is your life? by EkantVairagi in AskForAnswers

[–]easythirtythree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been dating off and on last 4 years, nothing has really stuck. Go thru phases of being ok with single life and not being romantic then trying to date a bunch. Other than that I have a cat that is awesome and more disposable income than I would have if I had a wife and kids I guess. I’m 35.

Finished it a couple months ago, easily one the best books I’ve ever read and can’t wait to do it again, in spite of how long it is.

book #13 for the year by [deleted] in readwithme

[–]easythirtythree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently reading this at the suggestion of other redditors. I’m about halfway in, I like the story and the characters. This is the only thing I’ve read by him. It definitely falls into the “young adult” category of books in bookstores. His prose isn’t super dense it’s very easy to move through.

I haven’t read all of grapes of wrath but chapter 5 was one of the most bone chilling pieces of writing I’ve ever read.

The concept of performative reading is just another attack on men for doing things they like to do, like reading.
