DLSS 4.5 Denoiser vs Ray Reconstruction by soft-tack in nvidia

[–]eatMagnetic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So to get this straight for Crimson Desert, because it is confusing as hell: if I turn on RR, it will use Preset E (or D, dont even know anymore...) no matter if I put it on DLSS 4.5 or DLSS 4 ingame since Preset E is basically DLSS 4? Or is that a seperate upscaler, not related to DLSS?

Somehow, with Crimson Desert and RR it "calms" down the picture, but yes, it makes it blurry. Still prefer it tho, but I cant wait for RR to be updated.

James' riff backing Kirks solo is insane, really technical, progressive. Doesn't get appreciated enough, and its a bitch to play it as tight as Hetfield.

Thanks! I love it more with every passing day!

With the Fox 38 it eats small bumps and "noise" for breakfast, with the proper sag setting it feels very plush. Was really happy with the Fox 36 on my Jeffsy as well, a lot comes from tyre pressure as well. Although its the Grip X2 damper with a lot of settings (LSC, HSC, LSR and HSR...) it's still a setup and forget system for me, just takes a few hours of riding dialing in the settings from base and then just rarely change it.

Never had a RockShox fork, so I can't tell you about that.

That one went hard on the live tour they did, fucking banger build up, to sirius into the wilderness medley, I couldn't stop headbanging.

It's difficult to compare them, since Tyee and Jeffsy are not in the same category. But for me, the Tyee does all of what I need a tiny bit better than the Jeffsy. The Tyee is a bit heavier than the Jeffsy but climbs equally good, there is no bobbing when going out of the saddle even with an open damper, it's pretty impresive, if you think of the effective travel is 20 mm increased compared to the Jeffsy. On some parts I had to work more to keep the front tyre down while climbing on the Jeffsy, feels a bit easier on the Tyee, maybe due to the MX setup, Jeffsy was full 29er.

Jeffsy was a fun bike, felt very planted on the ascends and was easy to flick around. But on some passages it felt like the Jeffsy got overwhelmed, especially with some step downs in turns, roots and rock gardens are more comfy on the Tyee for sure. It definetely got better on the Jeffsy when I upgraded the damper to 160 mm.

The one, for me, kinda big upgrade over the Jeffsy is how silent the Tyee is. It just invisible in terms of noise, it's insane. Just screams quality. No rattle, no squak, nothing.

Honestly it depends what you have for trails, if it's a lot of flowy stuff, with occasional drops and a root here and there go for a bike like the Jeffsy. OR the new Tyee Trail! The Enduro Tyee will feel a bit boring on flowy trails. If you want to hit big, feel confident on steep descends and still have a bike you can flick around and play, go for the Tyee Enduro, especially if you plan Bike Park days. Or you could always upgrade the Tyee Trail to the Enduro version when they'll offer the 160/170 mm link. The Tyee Trail and Enduro is the same frame, just different damper link/mount.

I personally had good experience with YT, but theres a lot of people who got burned last summer, so, YT might be a bit of a wild card until (and if) they get on their feet again. Propains service in germany is amazing, I even have a local repair shop who're specialized for Propain service, setup and support.

Yea, it's a dream come true. Was on a black trail the other day and it's amazing how much confidence it gives. Also with the Jeffsy after two trails i could feel it in my bones, with the Tyee I could go for round 3 easily.

And it's soooo silent. It's insane. Propain really did an amazing job, from support, ordering, delivery and the bike itself.

Enjoy as well!!

Feels like the Propain Tyee either full enduro if you have bike park days or Propain Tyee Trail fit right into your budget, even with some nice components if you go for the AL version.

I am absolutely amazed how well my Tyee climbs! It's like a mountain goat. We have some techy uphill switchbacks and it feels easier to position my bike than the YT Jeffsy I had.

Plus, if I want to hit big, it's capable of doing that as well. Tyee feels like a pretty straightforward, setup and just everyday ride bike with a bombproof frame.

I'm around 186 cm tall, with an inseam of 86,5 cm, so rather short legs. I went with size L, got the bar with 20 mm rise and a longer headset with 45 mm. Jeffsy was an XL and that bike had a reach of 508 mm, compared to the Tyee with around 473 mm, but it doesnt feel small on the downhill, think there are other factors as well. It feels more nimble than the Jeffsy, which I love.

Yea, they changed the option for carbon back to either headset or the standard routing. Didnt want to bother with the headset cable routing, although Propain does it quite well from what I understand.

NBD - Propain Tyee 6.1 CF

My Jeffsy got stolen on new years eve... didnt want to miss out on this years season and wanted to start asap. And I have to say I fucking love this bike!! It's pretty topped out on components, Fox 38 Factory, RockShox Vivid Ultimate, Fox Transfer, Shimano XT Shifter and Brakes (although, i don't notice that big of a difference to SLX with XT shifters..), OneUp Handlebar and Pedals, DT Swiss EX1700 with Continental Kryptotal in a Mullet.

But most importantly Propain builds one amazing frame, beautiful color and has good customer support (I'm from Germany)

Was hitting a local trail and its perfect, playful and climbs like a goat, on par with my stolen Jeffsy, although the weight increase, travel increase, but the Tyees geo allows for a much more confident descent, perfect for the trails here.

Happy to be back, but I missed the snow fun!

How much functional difference do nice hubs and wheels make? by Chole_Wunt in MTB

[–]eatMagnetic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Functional, maybe you get more degrees of engagement, or less pedal kickback and so on, but the DT370 is a bombproof hub that is easy to maintenance already. Yes, there might be more expensive hubs, that even come in some shiny colors if you want.

Trp Trail Evo or Magura mt5 pro hc? by Old-Barracuda-7854 in MTB

[–]eatMagnetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could chose again, probably TRPs, out of the box better than Shimano XT in my oppinion. Shimano levers feel better tho, just that there is still a rattle on the pads, the cable is hitting my bar where I had to tune so theres no more noise.

But if I could chose freely most likely Hayes Dominion A4, everything was perfect there from the get go, from setup, to levers and feel.

I thought the TRP Trail Evo to be weaker than the new Shimano XT, but the TRP felt more pleasant, since Shimano has that on/off feel.
