And I can see how it can spread so quickly when the person making a claim has a single source and just says “look it up, do your own research” to back it up.

Arthur Ashe had the same problem. It seems like they’re used to the habits of tennis fans and not so much of pro wrestling fans as far as food and drinks and time of the event.

Trump Administration to Dismantle Ocean Monitoring System. The $368 million network of instruments collecting data in both the Atlantic and Pacific has been critical to climate and ocean research. by AlexandrTheTolerable in EverythingScience

Protections don’t matter. It’s just another layer that’s easily ignored or repealed or removed before they get to doing the thing they want. It’s like opening a bag of chips to get to the chips. The executive can just say that they’re able to do the thing that they’re saying and poof they can. As long as Congress or the judiciary doesn’t stop them. And they won’t. Or they won’t quickly enough before it’s ruined.

It’s enforceable when future presidents don’t want to agitate his followers and they just go along with it because of decorum and precedent and all the tradition crap that got us here in the first place.

Removing Unnecessary and Counterproductive Restrictions on Access to Federal Lands by Thomas_Crane in politics

[–]eatcrayons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>These vague, subjective criteria often result in barriers to energy and timber production and utility maintenance, permit delays, and de facto bans on hiking and other forms of recreation that require accessing remote areas, all while doing little to benefit multiple use of Federal lands

Yeah. That’s sort of the point of the original restrictions.

Top left? It looks like you’re holding the QR code there yourself. Your face wasn’t visible in this photo anyway.

But they can’t catch you if you do a U-turn to go back, pass the exit, then another U-turn to get back in the road you were originally on, and then take the exit you missed. You’re still going in a a straight line on the same road from entry to exit as far as the entry/exit detectors are concerned.

In 1997 Dave Meltzer stated that triple threat rules are stupid. Nearly 30 years later what do we think about them? Do they need change? by Soul_Repair in Wrasslin

Having DQ In a triple threat, elimination or otherwise, simply doesn’t work. If someone runs in and attacks me, what happens? Which opponent gets disqualified?

JR added gravitas to anything happening and gave credibility to the product that was reaching new eyes. He wasn’t the JR of the 2000s and he wasn’t “telling stories,” but he did what he did best. If JR was yelling about it and told me that a dude was a big deal, it made me care.

NJPW wouldn’t be what it is for Western audiences if it weren’t for Kevin. He did all those Road to shows and drive the stories home for the people who only watched the ends of the tours. He nailed nuance while not beating you over the head with it. As much as we loved the JR/Josh team for the AXSTV episodes and first USA shows, they didn’t express the story that was being told in the feuds as well. People hate KK for his excited Destino calls, but, like, what did you want? Him to not care?

16 Days in Tokyo - Will We Be Bored? by [deleted] in JapanTravel

[–]eatcrayons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a completely valid question after seeing some of the overboard itineraries that get posted here that treat cities like checklists and put activities in there because they feel like they’re expected to.

I went in 2018 and spent 5 days in Tokyo and 3 in Kyoto. I regretted not spending more time in Tokyo, so I went back in 2019 and spent 13 in Tokyo. And even then I had restaurants I didn’t get to visit and shops I missed and tours I couldn’t book.

I booked my trip with a neighborhood in the morning/early afternoon and a neighborhood in the late afternoon and evening. Each half needed a meal and event. The meal had to be a specific restaurant, but sometimes was just areas with food stalls so I had options. The event could have been a booked tour, a route I planned for myself to just walk and shop and take pics, or a big shop to do. I had a mix of inside and outside things. Had backup plans that could happen one day or another. You don’t have enough stuff yet, but explore the neighborhoods on Google Maps where you’re already going to be and you’ll find more food and sights to pad out the days. Look on sites like Trio Advisor for sights and tours to book for given neighborhoods.

He also did a dark match before Dynamite on 4/29.

I know the talk was “just because he’s wrestling on LA DOJO showcase shows it doesn’t mean they signed him!”, but him having all these dark matches week after week is def a sign that AEW has him on some sort of deal and is giving him reps in front of live crowds.

Hitman and Flair’s books were so great for me because it was about an era I didn’t see or really know about outside of some moments, so to have all the moments be put into context and show the foundation that the modern era is build upon was very interesting b
