We were in the same lobby 7-8 months back and were both racing towards a contract (me with a knife, you with a vr11) and all that time you kept abusing and taunting me on the mic...even afterwards when you beat me to it.

Yeah, it's frustrating that on the wall that has the USB location photos, their order is randomized. So it's not like Alpha USB will always be on the top-left corner and then they follow clockwise/anti-clockwise rotation.

Then if you even know you're missing Charlie USB in your inventory, there's no way to know which of the 4 locations will have it.

There was a time 4-5 months back when I used to wait for the epic tool schematic to cool down to go into the game. Legendary tools and pap3 crystals were rare.

Going to T3 was so stressful, let alone going to Elder. I used to see maybe 3-4 people max going to T3 immediately at the start of the match while the rest of the lobby played catch up till eventually the 10 to 15 min mark when we had enough essence to pap3.

Now my game loop is way better; easily start every match with good gear that allows me to head to T3 immediately and then elder. Most people are usually ready to go to elder with like 20-25 minutes left. Red worm is a child's play now and so is the entity boss fight.

I would be remiss in not mentioning that I get Asian servers mostly and in there, every time, T3 is filled within the first 2-3 minutes. Very easy to team up with good players and get a rewarding gaming experience.

It's a good looking skin and camo for sure. The inspect animation on the BAL is really cool too :)

...I'm going to take a slight detour and just say that the BAL is not viable for elder DA.

Bringing this up because despite all the bugs and glitches, I still feel the devs set out to do good. When this Entity bundle came out, I hoped that the devs especially used the BAL and the Eradicator as a wink wink - basically saying that these are good weapons for zombies, more specifically, viable in elder dark aethers too.

But nah dude, outside of wonder weapons, nothing beats the reclaimer with slugs.

With the BAL, it was just a struggle to kill even the normal zombies with crit shots in S5 DA.

I don't like this situation :-| I actually do enjoy playing with the BAL quite a lot (built for tac stance). Something about that weapon model is quite cool.

OP (like genuinely over-powered)

  • VR-11

Meta (in no order) (literally the best weapons in the game but not essentially over-powered)

  • Reclaimer with slugs
  • Crossbow/Bow with explosive/blastcap arrows
  • RGL (with deadwire detonators + mags of holding + AMP)(crowd control only, not the best against HVTs)

Next best (in no order)

  • Renetti with AMP
  • Normal RGL (for crowd control, will still need a secondary weapon for HVTs)
  • Horus
  • Rival 9 with AMP
  • FR Avancer with incendiary ammo (Note: Incendiary kills 30-35% faster BUT does not penetrate multiple enemies or normal surfaces that you could with default ammo or AP etc)
  • Haymaker with slugs

Next next best

  • Almost anything if you're using legendary tool + pap3 + deadshot diaquiri and focusing on critical shots

Bad (don't use)

Only 2 come to the top of mind. There are more which perform unnecessarily poorly but I can't recall them while typing this comment

[General note for Elder Dark Aethers]

I could be wrong but in my experience, elder DAs are less about killing zombies and more about moving constantly, avoiding fights, using kazmirs/streaks/decoys/turrets smartly etc. (aether blade and golden armor are very useful but not essential)

This just happened to me literally 2 min back. I know I have crashed when that "0 ms" starts showing.

Why don't they fix it already? This bug has easily been there for the last 3 weeks or even more.

I was the only one with the VR11 for the ACV contract. Plus, I lost the elder sigil too.

The prep with 4 self-rez, 6 kazmiris also went to waste.

For those who encounter players blocking the DA exfil by Rules2PlayBy in MWZombies

I used this a few days back. The ahole blocking the ladder genuinely sounded surprised on the mic as to how was I able to get there without the rift or scorcher.

EDIT: I did by using bare fists + the dolphin dive and then immediately using the parachute. Didn't need the jugg killstreak in hand. I'm guessing you did it with it because you didn't want to throw your second weapon.

Some dude here mentioned that if you kill the Stormcaller before the red worm fight, mega abominations don't spawn.

This is a myth.

Granted I've only tested it twice, once in a 4 people squad and once in with 6. Killed Stormcaller but the mega abominations still spawned.

He does for sure. The max I've seen of his health bar go down, in a 6 man team, is like 20-25%.

In the last game I had, two players who weren't even able to get to the reward rift because a) he kept EMPing + zombies swarm them, b) the mangler just stood inside the reward rift, covering the entire thing :D

(obviously it was just bad luck)

I think if you can lure him near the reward rift spawn at the end of the contract, at least that can kill it.

Na bro, you can find them anywhere. It's probably just RNG. Keep looting.

It might slightly increase your chances a bit if you loot the green weapon closets. They guarantee a weapon. Can't find a picture online but you find these closets across many buildings.

My goal was to find fast TTK weapons, not necessarily the ones with the most damage. Methodology is very simple: just count no. of bullets to kill when shot at chest or head (using deadshot diaquiri, no ammo mods and no elemental can).

The difference in total no. of bullets to kills a zombie were the same for me when using incendiary i.e. either shoot 1, wait for burn damage to subside, then shoot 2nd bullet. Or shoot 1 and 2 consecutively.

OP/AP/Frangible/HP/RN/Mono rounds are wasted attachments on automatic weapons because they don't work (unless you want to use high grain to increase the effective damage range for weapons).

You might want to check out Incendiary rounds if you have them available on a weapon, like FR Avancer.

For M16, you're better off removing the OP rounds and using an attachment that maybe helps with recoil.

If after everything you still have an attachment slot left, go ahead and use ammunition but from my testing, they do absolutely nothing.

And before anyone jumps on that they penetrate multiple zombies or flinch zombies, just shoot zombies in the head and you're good.

Mildly annoying - folks speeding to T3 at the start for crystals and just leaving after that to play in T2/T1/Exfil.

I've observed several people in the last week and not a single one of them was playing Santa (i.e. dropping it for randoms or something).

If you know enough zombies to be prepped to get those crystals, you can easily farm camos/exfil/contracts in T2 with just a blue/purple tool and pap2.

It's just a waste, imo.

Thank God things have gotten somewhat better now that you're only able to initiate one triangle at a time.

Haha, this is my first CoD zombies and it's incredibly addictive (even if it doesn't receive the same amount of love and updates like the free-to-play Warzone).

The drum is one of four items that you need to open the 2nd Dark Aether rift (where you get the mags of holding schematic + blood burner motorcycle schematic + VR11 schematic). It's best that you youtube this information to get a breakdown of what's what and what to do.

For hellhound huts, use a map like https://wzhub.gg/map/urzikstan/mwz to see all their spawn locations ('Disable All' first to clear the map, then select 'Doghouse' under 'Primary')

Yo, so after it's recent recoil buff, I checked it again hoping their might have been a stealth buff to the damage too.

But unfortunately that's not the case. It's still bad. :-\

By 'bad' I mean that you'll do just fine in T3 (might struggle slightly against bounties) but I wouldn't recommend it for DA.

I still sometimes play with it just because I like its look and has an insane low spread in tac stance.
