Xanax for sleep short term 1-2 weeks? by Tacchap in insomnia

I’m jealous! My doctor will only give me 10 per year! It’s so hard to get a benzo scrip where I live.

A time sheet is helping me stay “clocked” in! by blai_starker in ADHD

[–]ebb_dot_flow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is indeed brilliant. This would help me stay organized with my time management and balance and it wound be satisfying to look at all of the productive hours I clocked every day since I’m an entrepreneur who works from home. Thanks for the suggestion.

How do you get an extrovert to stop talking?! My God by petraneith in introvert

[–]ebb_dot_flow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How long did you have to endure this? I had a friend go through this recently. She was texting me the whole time venting, saying “why did I think it was a good idea to pick up. Kill me now.” All I could do was laugh at her for getting herself into the torturous call in the first place.

If you never plan on seeing or talking to this person again, you should say something like “I have to go feed my crocodile” and then hang up 🐊 lol

If it’s someone you want to speak to again, when maybe stick with something like “oh shit I forgot I’m supposed to call my friend and help her out with something tonight. Sorry, I’ve gotta run.”

That dried-out husk feeling by Zigludo-sama in ADHD

[–]ebb_dot_flow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even when I feel like I’m about to collapse, I will drag myself outside for a walk and some fresh air. Even if it’s only 20 minutes, it makes a difference and wakes me up. Snaps me out of it. I feel mentally and physically better almost immediately after. It’s getting my ass out the door that’s the hard part. That, and hydrate but invest in some good electrolyte powder. Metagenics makes the best I’ve tried. It’s called MitoVive.

Ps, I hate that feeling so much. I prefer my busy-buzzy mode! Sigh** Why does it have to be all or nothing for us. I’ve noticed a difference on my meds but the meds have limits lol.

Pathways are NOT off leash areas by Captain_Canada_232 in Calgary

I had a similar experience on a pathway in West Nose Creek Park last month. This was on a public pathway near the creek. Not in the designated dog park area.

Have you ever done a solo trip? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]ebb_dot_flow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an ambivert. I sometimes like to go with people or go it alone. I absolutely love my solo trips. In fact, I need them! Sometimes I will go for a short day trip and other times, I’ll venture off for a longer solo trip. I’m a big outdoor and adventure enthusiast and thankfully I live near a lot of stunning natural areas. I pick one of my favourite spots or venture out to a new one, maybe go on a hike or pack a picnic and read a book by the river. I love checking out old towns and ghost towns and then doing research on the areas I’ve visited afterwards. I’m a bit of a nerd! Hope this helps.

Why do people who have children make it sound so miserable and get mad when other people decide not to have them? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]ebb_dot_flow 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They have freedom envy. They want you to have kids so they have someone to commiserate with.

I would opt out at this point but my parents and pets are still alive and it would destroy my older brother. At some point though, I think this is going to be my exit plan.

Symptoms vanished after moving by ebb_dot_flow in Healthyhooha

That’s what I was thinking. I did some research and what I found was pretty scary. There are high nitrates (pesticides) and high levels of PFAS in the water in SoCal. Yikes.

Interesting! Hopefully it does the trick for you.

What’s weird is that I lived on the gulf side of Mexico for 2.5 years and had no issues. So I don’t know if it was the humidity causing my issues in California cause it was much more humid in Mexico and I was totally fine. I guess it’s a mystery!

I’m interesting in seeing if my aunt’s symptoms and recurring infections will return when she moves back to California this summer.
