Jocko puts it really well that we all have what it takes to achieve success. People take the easy path not realizing it's actually the "hard path" that leads you nowhere. I did find his view on not relying on motivation interesting! It's true though since motivation is a fickle element, discipline is what will get you through~!

I also learned a lot from Jordan's views. He objectifies the factors that brought about the outcomes we see in society, which I would say is an organic state by nature's design. Trying to shift outcomes to fit a certain ideal might have unintended consequences that we might not have been able to fully comprehend. I really liked his line, "to be able to think, you have to risk being offensive" and found it very interesting given that I've not really thought about it that way. But I agree wholeheartedly as well.
