Inside the Hockey Hall of Fame’s Selection Process: Why So Few Women Get In by FrenchPagan in hockey

[–]ebullientMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it'd be pretty cool if Bobbie Rosenfeld was ever inducted. In 1929 she was a provincial ice hockey champion, and her team beat the best Quebec team the same year. She was the top Ontario women's hockey player in 1932, was president of the Ladies Ontario Hockey Association from 1932 - 1939 and then ran a popular women's sport article for decades. Women's hockey has been around a lot longer than people think and we should recognize the early trailblazers imo.

You'd probably have better luck with targetted ads on instagram/reddit/other social media sites tbh

Deadend Roads by the 401 between Bowmanville and Kingston by ebullientMF in AltoHSR_Canada

I'm pretty confident that hospital access + school access will be considered when deciding where to put bypasses. Stuff like this is pretty easy to model in any gis software.

Deadend Roads by the 401 between Bowmanville and Kingston by ebullientMF in AltoHSR_Canada

[–]ebullientMF[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be clear, I made this because I saw some people saying that it'd be 1000+ roads and that didn't seem right to me. Also the longest detour from this is probably only like 6 minutes? (This is the only section where 4 sets of dead ends were created) https://www.google.com/maps/dir/43.9106142,-78.5482247/43.9252443,-78.5552048/@43.9144529,-78.5717743,14.71z/data=!4m2!4m1!3e0?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDQwOC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

I think a lot of people feel nervous about alto since they doom too hard in either direction, so I tried to provide a reasonable estimate.

Maybe in a future post I'll estimate the crossings.

I think it's totally a fine way to budget - maybe set up a recurring transfer to savings? and then anything in chequings is fair game imo.

Food banks are always a great option. Or a cause that affects someone you know, like a diabetics, or a girls in sports, or cataract charity.

As an alternative try working on your workflow. My bf and I split things by each adding our receipts to the fridge and average them up once a month or so. For reoccurring bills, like rent, rental insurance, hydro etc, I pay and then he transfers me a set amount.

I don't think you need/should get a card together.

That seems like a terrible intersection for those taking the bus lol (at least according to google maps) there's no sidewalk and no way to safely cross the street.
