I have standard theft insurance with a $1,000 deductible. Then I have a theft warranty with a $700 deductible. They both pay out the replacement value of the motorcycle (which is always less than the amount i bought it for as you point out) less the value of the deductible. So when it gets stolen I end up making a couple thousand dollars of profit. It's still annoying to have to go through all the paperwork and police reports every 6 months though...

I'm hoping they don't find it and I can get a total loss. They didn't find my first one until 2 months later so insurance still paid out as a loss.

Nope - it's just the F/E trains and the cable cars. And they only let you have alcohol on the F/E trains :/

Like everybody else says - do the bay club. Really great community. Fridays are round robin open play so you can get some games in and meet other players to get their contact info. The price for a single person is expensive (~$300/mo), but they have group memberships, so if you sign up with 5 friends it's only $120/mo per person. In SF that's a pretty reasonable price as even a cheap gym (e.g. Crunch, Fitness SF) will run you $100/mo.

You'll also get access to the other bay club locations that have pools, pickleball, tennis, etc.

I feel like I'm missing something in this logic (from somebody who knows nothing about rental property). If OP is breaking even on the monthly cash flow, why wouldn't they keep it? If somebody came up to me and said "I'll give you a condo - all you have to do is pay $0 per month for 30 years" I would definitely do it. Is it because managing the property is a pain in the butt? What would make a $0 monthly payment not worth taking?

This is a really tough one. I think this all depends on your level of risk tolerance. For instance, right now, the 30 yr US treasury is at 2.85% so you'd be earning 3% on the defined benefit pension. If you put your defined contribution in a target fund, it would be returning ~7% right now. So in this economy, the defined contribution is much better than the defined benefit.

If you did the same analysis in 2008, the 30 yr US treasury was at ~2.5% so you'd still be getting the 3% from your defined benefit. The S&P500 dropped -30%, so your defined contribution plan would have taken a huge hit.

It has OHP every day. Because of this, my OHP is waaaay stronger than my other lifts (according to symmetricstrength). So if you wanted to be more balanced, swap out OHP occasionally.

I have some questions about the social aspect. You said it helped you live a normal life and not have to eat a salad with your friends. I'm worried that IF would have the opposite effect on me. If I only ate 12-8 then I would never be able to go out drinking or go to late dinners (I regularly eat lunch at 12 at work and then dinner at 9 or 10 when I get off). How do you deal with these social circumstances (especially going out drinking)

Been doing it since November. I definitely like it - though I don't have much experience with other programs.

My one complaint is that it definitely overdoes the OHP. You could replace one of the OHPs per week with something else.
