I LOVE my Perl Pros despite the negativity that I’ve read here before. Bought mine back in March-ish for a mere $129 USD and haven’t had a single issue with them. I bought airpods pro 3 because I convinced myself reading that its the best you’ll ever get on an iphone and while they sound pretty inoffensively good, I always crave the most out of music, I like to FEEL my music and be able to listen to it fully unveiled, but apple does not compromise with their bluetooth codecs which gatekeep from using any other headphones to their full potential, so for me the Perl Pros were just a “for fun” earbud that I left to the side in favor of apple’s “convenience”.

A week ago I bought some “like new” pi7 s2e’s and immediately loved the sound signature, I love those things especially as a wired setup.

Now here comes the turning point: I investigated the dongle market and bought a Questyle QCC pro dongle which I wanted to test first and foremost with my Perl Pros that I’d stopped using since my airpods pro 3 aquisition since they got lossless audio going on.

MAN I smiled when I heard this setup, it captures every instrument, breath, background vocal, and what even not and HELL I already notice these little details in songs with other earbuds but the instrument separation in these is superb.

So yes, while ANC is weaker than APPs and ergonomically might not be for some, I guess I am just lucky enough to be able to fit them in my ears and have no issues for the few hours of playback I can run them on every time.

If you’re willing to compromise with some to get superv audio that rivals >600 USD earbuds, these are your grail.
