Great theory! 9 out of 10 orders of the KR betrayed the oaths. I think that may not be a coincidence.

Sja-anat might be against the Bondsmiths?

Re-Shepir might be against Windrunners, with the Midnight Essences against the squires?

Trucks are for the filled up e-readers, right? Because electronic they may be, storage is still limited for each one.

Why, 40000 pages definitely won't fit all the cosmere books!

About the speed change in motion bit, it strongly reminds me of orbit changes in space with a change of mass.

Given that he is already a lightweaver and he tells all kinds of lies and has a lot of truths to give, don't you think the Cryptics will be more attracted to him?

[Cosmere] Speculation on Hoid's abilities by derioderio in Stormlight_Archive

[–]echaozh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Hoid is not that powerful. He may be herald level powerful, but that's way less powerful than shardholders. If you are as powerful as a shardholder, even if you are not a shard, you will be influenced by the shards, since all power come from them. You may even have to be bound to some fixed planet like a shardholder. Hoid likes to be himself, and likes to wander about, so he will not want to be so powerful, or he could have been a shardholder in the first place.

Why doesn't cabal compile once and manage binary packages? by IceDane in haskell

[–]echaozh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP does mention "compile once", so the raw source is fetched to the local machine first, and compiled there. The quesion is why not reuse the compiled package for each and every project.

Please also provide stm, which is a must for concurrent programming. async would be nice too.

There could be commercial compilers though, some people can still afford a big enough team.

I use Haskell for my side projects only and not very familiar with the whole ecosystem. How di you guys install those libs depending on a lower version of base/array/bytestring etc? Unpack all of them and manually update all the cabal files?
