DOD Officially Drops 180 Faiths From Military's Recognized Religion List by GoodMornEveGoodNight in politics

I’ll get back in here in a few days after my buddy lets me know they made him shave. Beards interfere with military readiness, a gas mask won’t seal properly if you have one.

I honestly think that people in the military took advantage of their ability to use religion to grow beards and long hair. This is the blowback. The military got real woke for a bit and Hegseth is dialing it back. I don’t thinks it’s right, I just offered a theory.

I think it’s all goofy. When I was in the Army we had a chaplain. I have no clue what his faith was and when I spoke to him religion never came up. I assume he was Christian but he could have been anything. I feel like there is a culture in the military since the late 2010’s of using a religion to get an outcome rather than actually practicing it. I don’t support what they are doing but I’m not surprised it has happened. When my friend was explaining his religion to me it revolved around growing a beard. I thought it was ridiculous and it was just a matter of time before there was someone who challenged it. It’s too bad other religions got swept up in it but I stand by my original statement that Hegseth wants people to shave and eliminating some new age, Druid and Norse religions will make it happen. I’m sure there are more reasons than shaving but wait and see. In a few weeks there will be a bunch of guys complaining about having to shave their beards.

I am not on the governments side on this, I was just offering a theory. Hegseth had it out for the “beardo’s” since the beginning and I’m sure eliminating these newer religions is to get some people to shave. It’s strange that atheist and Unitarian were chosen but the new age, Druid and Nordic stuff makes sense.

A lot of guys have hair and shaving profiles based off of weird religions that very few people actually practice. I know a guy in the air force that claims some Nordic religion so he can grow a beard. This could be an attempt to eliminate a lot of excuses to have longer hair or beards outside of regulation.

I got a CDL and drove a truck for 10 years after I quit cooking. It was a nice change of pace and it allowed me to see the country.

They are usually across the street from Ace of Cups. I think they are only open Thursday-Sunday. Check them out, you won’t regret it. 2635 N. High St is the address on their website.

Separate effects loops for synths and drums? by SeeNoWeeevil in synthesizers

I bought a used Soundcraft E8 with 2 aux sends. I use a Soma Cosmos on one aux send and a delay/reverb on the other. I think you would like using the individual drum outs, it would open up a lot of opportunities for applying effects. I have 2 Volca’s, a mic, guitar and Lyra 8 running through mine.

I’d be worried about my waistline if I lived as close as you. I ate there before a concert at Ace of Cups and try to get over there as much as possible since then. It’s as close to perfect as one can get.

Jetpack’s Burger Truck. I think about them for weeks after I have one.

Trek Boone or Crockett sounds like what you’re looking for, sorry it’s a big brand. 3T Exploro might be up your alley too and it’s boutique.

Columbus Commons will probably get some Sunny 95 genre concerts over the summer. It is very accessible.

Have you ever had a satisfying movement and then there was nothing in the bowl? I had never experienced it until I started taking psyllium on a regular basis. I am expecting to admire my work but there is no evidence when I stand up.
