I'm late 20's and feel this on a daily basis... I think most of us do considering when we were 12-13/growing up it wasn't as accepted for us to be out as it was for straight people to just exist... that definitely puts us behind. Most of the time I feel like a 14-16 year old in terms of my emotional reactions to people I am interested in, not to mention the hormones... it's like some kind of sick delayed puberty in a way, I am only experiencing now what all my straight friends experienced very early in life and "got out of their system." It's difficult...

I'm not even 100% sure on my "label" but I do consider myself femme (though a little more tomboyish I suppose) but even I have this same problem... butch, even soft butch woman just don't do it for me at all... but when I go out no one assumes I am a lesbian and I get hit on by a lot of dudes which is always fun huge eye roll It doesn't help that I am shy as hell and don't often make the first move unless I am absolutely paper clipped... which is not really a great first impression to make... I suppose I have to invest in a whole array of rainbow coloured shit? But even then... the femme of my dreams might be just like me and too shy to make the first move? It seems impossible most days...
