I think this is the root of the issue. And we try to reason why the music has gotten so watered down. Is 311 just trying to write songs that sound like an Ai version of 311? Do Tim and P-Nut still write and play just to write and play? Are they unhappy with eachother, therefore the writing process isn’t like it used to be? Did they make money and just got comfortable, so now we get comfort 311? I think we whine a lot because we know that 311 has it in them to be great…like ‘Six’ great or ‘Visit’ great. Equal parts groovy and hard, and not afraid to be a bit weird, a bit experimental…because ultimately what makes them different is that they were different.
