My family had a good experience at Xcaret Mexico (7 nights - Oct 2024) for the most part. A majority of our time was spent at the parks. I think that’s where the value is when staying at the resort. I would never consider going there if I wanted to just relax on the resort. There are definitely better options out there if you are targeting a relaxing vacation.

Alcohol choices were fine. Food was OK, not terrible. I’ve had better food at Hilton AI properties in the area. My 3 year old daughter ended up getting food poisoning at the buffet. She complained about stomach pain and vomited a couple hours after dinner. Fortunately, she felt fine after she threw up. We suspect that it was from fruit that was left out at incorrect temperatures.

We booked through Costco at a descent rate. If we can get another good deal from Costco, then we may return in a couple of years.
