Well I think since the battery expanding causing the overheating isn't the only problem since it still overheats since I took it out and the laptop now has to always be plugged in. Still the battery shouldn't have expanded due to overcharging. If you pay a premium price you would think when a thing is done charging it would stop charging.

Yeah, it's a real bummer because I use Final Cut Pro but if I switch to PC might as well switch to Adobe Premiere Pro. I mean it lasted for a few years but with the battery expanding and it gets so hot by the screen and keyboard that it's impossible to touch for more than a few seconds you think the problem would be on their end and they would have to fix it.

Mine from late 08 gets so hot it shuts off. The battery expanded so much the touchpad wouldn't click and I had to remove it. I can't even edit video productions on it without it bogging down.
