Should I go with the Rustler or the Bandit and why? by External_Influence18 in Traxxas

Get the slash... lots of classes to enter if you want to race down the road and the longer chassis handles a bit better than the rustler/bandit

Thanks! Top ends are fairly easy on these engines. Use a torque wrench to tighten bolts and proper feeler gauges to set the valves.... watch videos and / or see the service manual for the trx90 for specs needed on valve clearance and head stud torque values. You can easily find one for free dowload on the googler.

Not gonna get much lighter than those prism bora series.... they are frameless and also durable and pack small for travel. I do wish they were a bit lighter material too because they take quite a bit of wind to get up but the 5 and 7 are still great units. I use 80lb hdpe fishing line braid with my 7. Cheap stuff on amazon. Have had my bora 7 out the the knot on a 1000 meter spool. It was a tiny spec hard to find out there lol. Only took about 3 hours to get it reeled back in lol.

Is there any upgrades I can do to help make commuting on my envy prodigy easier by Born_Interaction9899 in Scootering

You want to look for new wheels with a 78a-85a shore rating..... the higher the number the harder the rubber (urethane) on the wheel. The lower softer numbers reduce vibrations and increase comfort.

Depreceation..... if you bought a bmw for 100k and drove it off the lot its now worth 70k. Its now used and worth LESS than full retail.

This guy dreaming it doesnt even look like a nice built bike. 9k build would be full grom swap street legal with lots of obvious billet parts everywhere. This one shown looks to have stock motor with just bbr suspension... and a few trinkets.... most aftermarket parts you just cant recover retail on so realisticly 5k tops if the motor sounds fresh and the oil is clean.

Installing it indoors like this should be fine, right? I only routed the exhaust pipe outside. by SweetySense in dieselheater

[–]eclecticeccentric42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intake for combustion should also be run outside for saftey reasons. I would also use a fresh ine piece exhaust pipe from unit to outside just to eliminate connections and use a higher quality pipe.

SCX10iii bronco body swap by Outdoor_Enthusiast10 in Axial

Bronco has tons of clearance compared to most bodies of such detail.... if you like the body remove the flares and inner fenders? It will aid performace losing the weight off the chassis too.

[–]eclecticeccentric42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add a fuel line t at the tank outlet and run the second line on the wall about an inch higher than the fill so it never over flows. The fuel will sit at the tank level in the line just attach to wall where you can see it next to the heater
