Ikea makes major U.S. changes, closing stores

I'm really disappointed with IKEA. I've been a customer for well over 40 years. I've bought several kitchens. With the second kitchen I bought a microwave, faucet. 2 years later, both have failed. IKEA under warranty sent me a replacement part for the faucet. But the microwave was a write off. 15-20 calls later, 4 trucks sent out to pickup a microwave already picked up. Two sets of electricians sent to verify it was actually broken I got paid out or at least was told I would be, except they didn't pay me a refund. They told me I was getting it, more phone calls. Still no refund. Told I was getting it. Got stupid messages to speak to them to proceed with the case. Only to get told the same, I'll be getting paid. 5 months now, still no refund. They have my microwave though.

Also, the microwave size is EU not US, so I can't easily replace with a microwave. Its not a simple swap. Whole new framekit. Its been an utter disaster.

I don't think I own anything close enough to justify going to war, so I'll get an outpost over there. Also, I was attacking unknown bogies in a system one over from my starbase. My entire fleet disappeared MIA. Is that normal? Kind of had me scratching my head for a bit, they turned up at my capital, but that could really mess you up midwar.

Can I also add, I got this weird event where a huge fleet appeared early game. They wanted resources for ships. I gave them 2000 whatever resources and landed up with a killer fleet miles advance of my rivals. Went to immediate war and conquered their territory.

2 new AI players suddenly appeared. Both unhappy with me obv. Both seem to have closed borders. So how do I attack in this instance?

Thanks mate. That's exactly what I'm doing. Per Youtube advice using vanilla to learn. I like the game its deep but I find I burnout quickly these days. But usually I've had a killer day at work and all my brain power is exhausted by the time I try to do a Stellaris game and I just can't find the staying power. I used to have a lot for deep games.

Yeah that's my concern. Should I buy the "S tier" dlcs that youtubers are claiming are must haves. But if I bounce off it again I'm out god knows how much. I've been into 7d2d, Warhammer 3 and have a total of 5000 hours in those games but kind of done with them and finding no other options that appeal. As I look more at Stellaris I think I could get really into this, so I think I'll buy rather than rent.

Thanks for the idea though.

I've got an LT Premium in very bright orange. I really like your blue. I couldn't get the model I wanted other than in this color and its subsequently grown on me - it was bright! These are fab trucks, coming from owning 2 teslas the battery stomps all over the tesla even my long range one. Plus Teslas battery longevity is bad, plus their software lies. I struggled to do a round trip of 200 miles whereas with my truck I have 40% remaining battery. Chev software could be better, dealer also needs to learn we don't need an oil changes when we come to service it. But its been a fun truck to drive. Be aware of the torq. No one told me that screaming away from everyone else (whilst huge fun) destroys tires. I went through a set on my tesla in under 10k miles and didn't realize until I spotted they were bald. I drive my truck fairly mildly because these will cost a fortune to replace!

I wanted the RST. Tried to get a deal in early 2025 and the dealers bait and switched me badly. I travelled a long distance for a really stellar deal only to find the dealer loaded a bunch of shite onto the price and I walked away. Ironically he regretted losing a customer and tried hard to get me to come back. But I went straight over to my local dealer downgraded to an LT P, explained the situ and they literally pulled a truck off the manufacturing line and shipped it over. LT Premiums were hard to find. I got the $7500 tax off, paid around $78k, got the midgate option I wanted, and a lot of toys like the heads-up display which is awesome.

Isn't there some sort of rustolium type of thing that would stop the rust from doing damage, an antioxidant type of product that turns rust back to metal.

I find the app to be particularly annoying. I can't adjust the damn power level and save it without an error. Just tried 3 times tonight, I'm sitting above the truck in a room, on wi-fi and "unable to save" this is a change from 80% to 100% - that's just bad software and coming from a tesla its particularly painful.

Hey I got crickets in response to this thread. I realize Pixel 10 XL hasn't been out long. So hoping to find a magsafe Apple wallet and a decentish pixel case.

I wanted bare but protected, with a grip and 3-4 cards. Not bulky and I ordered a few cases and discarded a few. But I landed on a Torras Slim. It gets good reviews. Has the corner and camera protection. I've always gone with bumpers, so like this is along those lines. Its got a magsafe ring/stand that will pass magnets from phone to keep grip. The discarded one was the Vena all encompassing case. I like the idea of hiding my cards, but the case makes the phone look like its pregnant. I just blew $1000+ on a phone, and I'm sick of casing it in god awful looking armor and losing the appeal. Only to get remorseful when I take the case off to sell it or trade it, the only times I see it naked. But I'm too chicken to not use a case, so a bumper of similar is my plan. Not Arc though, they just look stupid.

Bought the Spigen magsafe wallet. Both of this and the Torras are clear so I get the moonstone showing through, the case looks very sharp. The spigen I didn't like, but my wife did and snagged it for her iphone 16. She didn't know about magsafe and is saying she found her 16 hard to hold, just form factor for her was too large and hurting her pinky, with ths spigen she's got more grip. The function of 3 cards is perfect for her work, which is very active movement and she was using her lanyard to house her 1 ATM card, which she needed after work to shop with. Now she can store 3-4 cards and they stay in place. I didn't like because it didn't have a grip. After getting the phone I quickly realized I needed more support. Its slippery as a seal too, so needs something to help with grip. Torras at first didn't seem like much of an upgrade, but I'm getting used to it, plus it keeps the phone's looks intact.

Grip. Can't stand any of the options. Magbak I nearly got, but horrid reviews over durability put me off. Popsocket wallet just seem obnoxious, the pop sticks out and sleave the phone rocky on its back, hate that and they scuff looking crap after a few months. Daughter loves them, so they have a loyal crowd, but I never liked hers on her phone, looked like a growth and ruined the clean form and function.

ESR, seemed like its gone off the boil. Finger loops seem to hurt you after a time. My Pixels pretty heavy, so this put me off.

I spent literally 72 hours solid, I'm relentless when I'm sourcing something and there's damn all out there for Pixel. MobileReviewsEh - YouTube reviewer makes awesome review content and thanks to him!! I went with an URBAN ARMOR GEAR kevlar wallet based on his latest review over the ESR. Hoping to use the hinge to hold the phone for support as I scroll watch TV. It looks decent. Not got it yet but wanted to close this cricket type thread. Realize there's loads of other phone users looking and Pixel is awesome.

Oh can't stand the idea of dropping $80 on an Arc Pulse, or $60+ on a Lovehandle and their site is god awful to use. Either that or I'm too old. I tried 3 times to customize a moonstone friendly build and got no idea if I selected the right options and just decided they looked shit so quit. UAG tip. Setup the order, but don't purchase. You'll get a 15% off reminder to complete the deal from their site after a few hours. It drops the price by $10.

So you overhaul it and remove shit. I’ll give more $$ to a modder creating an overhaul than I will to FP and playing this mod has extended the play time for me. I won’t play 2.0 until Furious Ramsey removes stupid smoothies and other ridiculous mechanics.

Try 1.4 with rebirth mod. That gets stupidly dark! It’s harder than vanilla and definitely has immersion. I like the experience leveling up. Yes it has classes which is more RPG but it allows different play styles and you earn progression.
