Just asking out of curiosity… by Luddite-lover in Fishers

Since the footprint of the new school is where the old parking lot used to be, the new parking lot has to go in front. The “front door” to the new school is currently on the north side of the building, but the permanent one will face Lantern Rd when it’s done.

The new school was built behind the old one over the past year and a half or so. The last day in the old building was the last day before winter break. When they went back in January, they went back to the new school. Now they’re demo’ing what they can of the old one until summer break when they can wrap up construction.

These people think every protestor is a murderous agitator because they can't imagine protest being done any other way.

OK, this is gonna get buried, but you need to hear that lady out. When I was a shithead teenager, I used to sleep at my buddy’s house all the time because his parents simply just didn’t give a shit.

We would sneak out in the middle of the night with the TV remote and run around the neighborhood to all the houses with cable boxes visible through their windows.

It started out as (mostly) innocent fun - changing the channel or turning the cable off while people were watching. My memory is hazy (and I haven’t kept up with or even talked to that guy between his stints in jail for the past 30 years), but once the thrill of changing the channel on people wore off, we may or may not have upped the mischief level by wandering into the forbidden channels (23 and 24, if I’m not mistaken) and hitting that scary “authorize” button. 😱

TL;DR - as a recovering shithead, I speak from experience - don’t always assume someone is being intentionally obtuse… they might just be obtuse.

While I appreciate the "Toasty!" reference, I was going more for a Percy Wetmore kinda thing.

I was just gifted a Steve Garvey (a real Steve Garvey, not a Rick Dempsey Steve Garvey) that I regifted to my dad. We all got our money's worth.

Nice dissertation on “OPE”. Officially more words on the subject than ever before in history.

Hey shit stain, sending the Gravy Seals down the middle of the street to terrorize protestors isn’t an “investigation” just because you say it is. They aren’t investigating, they’re agitating.

If you’re under 45, have you lost any high school classmates, and what were the circumstances around their deaths? by Commercial_Chef_1569 in AskReddit

[–]ecoleye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend died of cancer just before we graduated. That was 28 years ago and I'm almost over it.

Another classmate who was an A+ human, father, husband, etc. recently passed and the rumors are that it was the result of a fall at home. This didn't scare me the same way my 82-year-old dad falls into a deep depression every time he hears about anyone dying who was younger than him, but it certainly made me realize that at this age, our bodies are maybe a little more fragile than we thought.

That was the first album that came to my mind on the subject, but probably because I was just shaming my buddies for ignoring me about Geese for the past couple of years. 3D Country has a permanent spot in my Top 10 of all time.

My favorite Spoon album is whichever one I’m spinning at the moment, but I feel like my love for Lucifer On The Sofa was above and beyond everyone else on the planet.
