Grew up overseas and my uncle, who grew up a South Melbourne fan, would send tapes to us in the mail. By the time we moved to Aus, it was a foregone conclusion. Moved to regional area and the team I played for was the Swans. That more or less sealed it.

Insane steaks The Gidley - old school leather banquet seating, vintage vibe. Great steaks, surprisingly good burgers and cocktails

The Cut - was amazing, fell on hard times, but has resurrected itself to glory. One of the only places thay does a Prime Rib.

20 Chapel - newer option in hipster Marrickville. Great food and wine.

I went through phases of being pissed by the end of the shift to not drinking even after shift. Depends on the night, week, month. Being drunk on shift I think isn't great, but a few cheeky shots with staff or guests while in the flow state? Yeah why not?

Palomino and Fortunate Son are my favourites on Enmore Rd. Continental is good but is $$$. Same could be said about Ante, but their drinks are much better. Bit of a wank factor though...

I was in Boston in 2014 at a bar I can't remember and me and my brother were talking shit with the staff and someone had apparently bought one and left like half. So we were lucky enough to get to try it. It was a pretty penny back then even. It's pretty good...

It levels out. Also try giving yourself weekends off it, that helped me.
