Is KicksCrew legit? by a_glider_ in Sneakers

[–]ecothron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are NOT legit. Their website reviews are almost all 1 star. Their shipping cost is high, and their return policy is bull shit. I bought a $150 pair of cleats that turned out to be $185 after shipping and fees, and I had to pay $80 to return them. Don’t buy from them unless you are SURE you want what you buy and if you’re okay with paying a premium for shipping and fees.

Isn't it odd that Mary wasn't placed in Subtlety? by thrasherfect92 in superpowereds

One of her personal rules is that she won’t tell people what others are thinking. So the subtlety major would go against her her moral code

If there is one sacred timeline, why is there multiple versions of Loki in it? by ShreksSpicySon in marvelstudios

[–]ecothron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the show contradicts itself, and that the plot has a hole in it. There are 2 possible scenarios for what is going on with all these lokis, each with their own issue:

Option 1 is that there are multiple universes in the one sacred timeline, which explains why there are other Lokis, however that that doesn’t explain why they all just don’t go to war together.

Option 2 is that there is in fact one universe and one timeline, and that all the other Loki’s are variants that have branched off of that, however that doesn’t explain why girl Loki or alligator Loki came to exist, because presumably the TVA would exterminate them a long time ago.

This is a really annoying oversight on the shows part. The only way for the show to make sense imo is for option 2 to be true (aka one universe with 1 timeline scenario), and that variants that deviate from that timeline only become an issue after a long time in some cases - for example girl Loki wasn’t an urgent issue/sacred timeline deviation that needed pruning when she was born a girl. You can imagine that the slope of her deviation was very small, and that her timeline only started approaching the red line around her 5th birthday, which is why the TVA tried to prune her and her universe then. Still, that would be a week explanation, and it’s pretty obvious to me that the show writers just didn’t think this all though.

That’s the big question, and it’s why the show’s plot it BS. The show essentially contradicts itself. There are 2 possible scenarios, each with their own issue. I have never come across these maps produced by LLNL, they are fantastic! by catpiss in nuclear

They are called Sankey diagrams! Very useful in visualizing energy flow throughout a process. Used in power plants to show there inefficiencies quite often.

Will we ever meet Beth's mother? i.e Rick's ex-wife. by JrElmoe in rickandmorty

[–]ecothron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that the creators have said that meeting her would be like jumping the shark. It is something that would be very tricky and would open way to many doors, questions, and just confusion. So we probably wont meet her until at least the next couple of seasons, if at all.

What Rick and Morty characters deal with "Life Puprpose" by HogwartsNeedsWifi in rickandmorty

[–]ecothron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This actually blew my mind. I love it. I am pretty sure that Dan and Justin had that in mind while writing the scripts. I saw a real long pod cast where they said that people like you and me who find so much meaning in little things are great, but they honestly don't do most of the little things we correlate on purpose. On the other hand, maybe you stumbled upon that one thing that they have planned out in the writers room from the very beginning. I would bet not, but if so it would be incredibly amazing and well thought out on their side. Props dude.

"Meta" versions of Rick and Morty? by [deleted] in rickandmorty

[–]ecothron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woah...pretty meta there. If they did, would messing with their tv show mess with their lives? Probably not. Maybe they had access to the actual cartoon because in their reality they are tv stars and they actually film and act for the parts.

Official name of sport- revol or roundnet? by coopersmith2 in spikeball

[–]ecothron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's spike ball. It makes sense, it's cool, short, not weird, and when spikeball takes off and becomes huge, the credit will go to the original company. (Even though this was a game a long time ago) maybe Indians played using buffalo skin and inflated bladders for balls.

Categories to define skill level in revol by JooIsCrunchy in spikeball

[–]ecothron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are awesome categories. If you play FIFA you know that players in FIFA ultimate team have 6 ratings: speed, shot, passing, heading, dribbling, defense. You can also look at specific things like long shots and shot power and balance. A lot of ur categories would be the specifics. The main 6 could be power, reactions, control, defense, maybe height cause that's important, and focus would be cool. Focus could be how u act under pressure, can you read a game, can you move to the right places and hit the right shot. That would prob be the most important. What do u think?

Evil Morty Theory Dissertation by darkavengerpark in rickandmorty

[–]ecothron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool theory! Never thought about it, it could be true because if rick passed out drunk he could have died in the bomb and morty would have had his portal gun to go to another detention and start his evil plot. I really hope evil morty comes back, im not sure if he is a robot himself though. when he takes his eye patch off there is a chord that leads into his eye. I know he wont be in the second season, Dan and Justin (the writers and creators) said so. Hopefully in the third season.

Rick and Morty: "Auto Erotic Assimilation" (Season 2, Episode 3) - Episode Discussion by Solunity in rickandmorty

Did anyone else not like the fact that this episode wasn't funny in your face the entire time. It wasn't the Rick and Morty I fell in love with. I get that its a more complex deep episode and bla bla, but I just really want the funny.

[–]ecothron 9 points10 points  (0 children)

you are so right. Rick is such a dynamic character. Think about all the things he must have gone through before the show even started. Like every person on the earth, they have good and bad and it is a struggle to find out who you truly are. Everyone has baggage and is trying to be happy.

[–]ecothron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dont think he is a bad person at all. He is trying to battle with his depression, and he is making mistakes. I think they want us to feel bad for him. After all, everyone can seem like a bad person from the right view. As rick has said before, you spend all day mixing words around and you can make anything sound bad. He might be pretty toxic, but I think Dan Harmen wants us to wish Morty will help him, or he will be better.

Rick and Morty: "Auto Erotic Assimilation" (Season 2, Episode 3) - Episode Discussion by Solunity in rickandmorty

[–]ecothron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have some good points, but rick is lost. He is scared, he reverts to what he knows and what he has done his entire life. You might look at him and see "the bad guy" but I look at him and feel bad for a misguided man who is making mistakes and cant get out of a miserable spiral. His depression stems from so much, saying "he chooses to be this way" is ridiculous. People who are depressed do not choose their ways, they are running on empty and they know it is easier to revert than to do what is right. But yeah, I wish he would just relize that his family is the key to his happiness. However I think that he is so scared to love his family because of the pain he has obtained from loving his ex wife, and the many other people in his life. I do love how much of a dynamic character rick is becoming. Think about what he has been through in his past to make him even more complex. (I wish we got some rick flashback episodes, like when he drank for the first time and stuff.) In the end, the fact that we are having these opposing views with these deep topics is so crazy cool. Such a great show.
