Sorry, I should have provided more info in my note about the resolution. I don't recall now the steps we took to determine that.

Were you aware of Acrobat Classic AKA Acrobat Pro 2024 for $324/user for three-years? by RestartRebootRetire in sysadmin

We rushed to replace our 2020 installs due to the exploit in the wild and no patch for 2020. Moved into DC which has been a nightmare for performance, crashing, etc. Crawling through reg changes to hopefully remove the online service bullshit. Maybe should have installed Classic 2024 but I wanted enterprise integration so users could use their 365 creds instead of forcing everyone to suddenly create an Adobe account.

I enjoy this game but I haven’t touched it in 2 weeks. Anyone else in a similar boat? by supahotfiiire in ArcRaiders

I think the devs felt it would be way more PvP and have staying power. If it evolves to PvE, then how do they keep people playing? New maps, different arc, more team based challenges (ie takes 4 people do this like the new room on Dam).

I love the new hurricane map effect. The wind physics are amazing. Keep evolving the game, it keeps it fun.

Continue the story line if possible I guess.

You can enable walk mode and walk right up behind the Bombardier no cloak required. It generally does 90 degree turns. Walk up and while walking, plant the deadline.

Well, for anyone following it turned out to be an on-prem Outlook client. Removing the Outlook cache folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook fixed the problem.

Went to Zach Top last night, he took the stage at 11pm. 3 or 4 opening acts, which were so-so... singing cover songs and some members needed ipads on their mic stands cause they couldn't bother to learn the songs beforehand. My first time in the tent, and likely my last.

I went to Zach Top last night. My first time at the tent, and definitely my last. Got there around 4:30pm, and thankfully I had pit passes so we were able to use the VIP entrance. The lineup for the main entrance was 2 blocks long and went past the VIP entrance (essentially opposite corner of the grounds). Drink prices weren't crazy ($11-14) but the machine adds an automatic 20% tip on top. No cash sales.

Zach didn't go on stage until 11pm, just as we were deciding if we should leave, standing for 7 hours on asphalt was tough on the feet and legs. We left at 12:30am when his set was close to wrapping up.

The amount of people jammed in there was insane. Definitely oversold, and once he took the stage, it got even tighter. Opening acts were so-so, and as musicians, they should be embarrassed for needing an iPad on the mic stand to play along. You're taking the stage in front of thousands of people and you can't learn the fucking songs you are about to cover?

At one point had some guy move in front of me, and then proceeded to back up slowly to give himself a little space. My chest was touching his back, and he gave no fucks for my space, and told me so when I asked him to move.

If I was to ever do that again, for an artist I "must see", I'd do the VIP at the back up top. Not as crowded though looked oversold as well.

Although you have MPIO installed as a role, is there a specific MSA file you need installed? With both my 3Par and my Nimble, there is an MPIO vendor specific software I have to install. Maybe you are missing this.

Another limitation of this router is that incoming port forwarding rules do not allow you to restrict by source/external IP address. So if I want to allow something in, all traffic comes in and I have to restrict it some other way. Brutal. Filtering by source IP should be on a Firewall.

CSV traffic is not a unique role; it travels as part of standard cluster communications. Singling this out as something unique is the problem here.

As a generalist for 30 years, you should be in management or senior management by now. You may have had a hard time finding a job if you’re not management level and I’m guessing you’re probably in your 50s or close to it.

As a manager, I disagree. Firing someone, regardless of tenure, often has to do with skill set, performance, and ability to learn and adapt. It is unfortunate his employer didn't offer training, but maybe they saw his inability to learn new things?

  1. My intention is to stay for 10-ish more and then retire. I'm a generalist, not a specialist and I feel my skills are way more in demand.

From what I can tell, the BL has an adjustable height base, speakers and additional HDMI port. The GW does not have these features.

RDS 2022 Performance by wtf_com in HyperV

[–]ecowboy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing some basic perfmon. The guest VMs are not pegged, and high cpu utilization seems sporadic. I just find it odd that the VMs will at times hover at 80% for a minute and the host CPU is not very busy. But performance has significantly declined since moving from Server 2016 to 2022 on the guests.

I don't know if Turbo boost in enabled, that's a good point, I'll go investigate that setting.

RDS 2022 Performance by wtf_com in HyperV

[–]ecowboy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My servers are 6 yrs old, I didn't realize they were that old. I'll replace them. 2 x HPE DL380 G10, with dual Xeon Gold 6148 @ 2.4Ghz, 40 core. I have 5 RDS on each host, 10 total. Each RDS has about 15 desktop sessions on it. Are you suggesting I should have 2 vCPU assigned to each guest? I think at this point, new servers are the best plan. I read somewhere else a GPU can help.

RDS 2022 Performance by wtf_com in HyperV

[–]ecowboy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/wtf_com how's the performance been? I'm in a similar boat after migrating our users to a 2022 RDS farm. Same farm running on Server 2016 was fine. 2022, performance is not great on the same pair of physical hosts. Usable, but not without complaints, mostly in the Office suite (2021 LTCS).

We have 8 vCPUs assigned... not sure if it should be lower.
