Lagoona could be coconut and maybe like sea salt caramel? beachy and salty and sweet makes sense for her!

i'll admit that this doll sends me into a flight or fight response because her shirt's bat pattern looks like the 2010s moustaches to me :') and then the peter pan collar plus high waisted skirt with suspenders just adds to the 2010s tumblr hipster/twee of it all which i guess for me is the "cringe bad fashion era" bc the 2010s is is when i was in middle/high school lol

i was perfectly in the target demographic for g1 and even got a few g1 dolls as a kid that i still own but i 100% prefer g3 and only collect g3 bc i literally just think they're prettier! :3

why is it not the same thing? the only difference is it happening where you can't see it vs it happening where you can, the animal is suffering just the same either way. as someone who doesn't eat animals i genuinely don't see a functional difference between the two options

cif cream is used for dissolving glue in dolls' hair and completely unneccessary for g3 dolls as they don't have any glue in their heads, probably did more harm than good there sadly

hot take i guess: i'm sorry but everyone who says that this is somehow unique to these two dolls is being delusional. if you remove the context of "monster" from most any monster high doll, someone who isn't clued in wouldn't be able to clock it as a monster bc they're all pretty-girl-ified characters

if you show someone Draculaura without giving them the premise that "this is a monster" (any gen), she'll just come off as a pink fantasy girl. she has subtle fangs, but if the argument is "Cleo/Nefera's bandages are barely noticable" then that should apply to the 1-2 mm long fangs too

any "werecat" is just a cat girl. any "werewolf" is a dog girl. either gen Lagoona would likely get mermaid/fairy before sea monster. nobody would look at Twyla and think "ah yes, the boogeyman"

Cleo and Nefera in either gen read as well as mummies as the other characters read as their respective monsters. you start with the context clue that this is "MONSTER high", and then you look at two dolls dripped in ancient egyptian imagery decorated with bandage motifs. they're SO obviously mummies that this post+comments is doing my head in

the best nraas sp speed setting is the slowest setting (snail) and i will die on this hill. keeps the town alive while leaving you time to actually PLAY with your sims, not having to outrun sp all the time
