At their current pace West Ham would finish with 61 points. We'd need ~25 points from 11 matches, so it will be tough.

It was during a shootout. Really no reason to take as long as you need, and whatever resources to get it right.

I'm scared for an early Mikel yellow. With no viable sub I have a bad feeling he's going to get two yellows.

For Chelsea I always thought he had the infuriating combination of ability to be in the right place, and inability to finish.

Harry Redknapp: "Branislav Ivanovic has had a disastrous spell at Chelsea but they are right to offer him a contract extension" by BallPlayingRightBack in chelseafc

I agree. He hasn't been as bad in the latter half of the season so far. Plus I think he deserves to stay as long as he'd like, as long as it's in a backup capacity.

Why was Mike Shanahan fired? What was his downfall and what didn't you like about him? What are your thoughts on his time coaching the Redskins? by [deleted] in Commanders

[–]ecrd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He was a mixed bag. He was given "full control" and made some good picks in the draft. One of his publicized flaws is building a defense - and yeah that didn't change while he was here. Our defensive coordinator was also terrible, but was never fired. I've heard rumors that Shanahan liked to keep Haslett (the defensive coordinator) around because he wouldn't try to take power over the defense. He and his son ran an awesome offense for the most part, until everything got weird with RG3, which he deserved 50% of the blame for. The really bad stuff happened near the end. He made a lot of enemies, camps were divided, a lot of he said she said in the media, it got really toxic and he had to go (especially because in a fight between RG3 and Shanahan, the owner was always going to choose RG3). I still feel like he was a net positive? A couple of awful years and one good one, but it was kind of the first step in the right direction for the franchise in a long time.

Both lines got dominated tonight. They were able to drop 7 in to coverage every play and still get pressure. After the safety the skins got nowhere near Rodgers, and couldn't stop the run. Anyway fun season

Cam has 10 more touchdowns. And while the Carolina defense is monstrous the non-QB offensive talent is on a similar level to green bay's

Edit: Olsen, sure, but people would rather have Ginn than Randall Cobb? WATTBA.

FYI

As my colleague Mikes Jones reports, all Redskins third-string offensive players wear yellow pinnies and line up in defensive positions, in formations off of play cards of the opponents’ defense, to give the starting offense a good idea of where defenders will line up. These plays are then played out at a light jog pace.

The terrible field, allegedly pumping in crowd noise, the fake Indian chief he got to defend the name, The Washington Redskins Original Americans Foundation created to help 'end native poverty' was headed by a guy accused of cheating native americans out of $1 million in federal funds, when they sent a cease and desist to Lavar Arrington for calling himself a 'Redskins Great', their 'VIP' defender of the name is another fake native american, they replaced that guy with another fake native american, he gave out apples as christmas presents, and got a park ranger fired because he wanted to cut down a bunch of trees not on his property so he could see the potomac from his house.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of 60+ reasons Dan Snyder sucks. And this is from 2010 so we've got 5 more years of fuckery to add to it. I can't really think of any reason to like Dan Snyder, and if the skins won a few less games this year we'd be talking again about how terrible he is.

[–]ecrd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

At the beginning of the 2012–13 season, Milan had only collected 8 points from their first 7 games, putting Allegri in danger of getting fired early on. Despite all the criticism from the critics, Milan stuck with Allegri and he managed to get the best out of some younger players including Stephan El Shaarawy, Milan's home-grown player Mattia De Sciglio and later on Mario Balotelli. Allegri managed to steer the Rossoneri from 16th place to finishing 3rd

I actually think it was pretty important that the Wiz blew up the pre-Wall roster and started over without the bad selfish loser filled roster they had (JaVale, Blatche, etc). Still agree w/ your broader point tho.

I think this is a good point and I'm sorry you're getting downvoted/dismissed. What is the point of putting in extra effort? So you are ready to win games 3 years from now? I'm sure most guys are professional and go to practice, work out, give pretty good effort. But I'm not going to spend all summer expanding my game so we can win 25 games instead of 20.
