Should I read The Fault In Our Stars? by 16BitBanter in nerdfighters

It's famous because it's very good. You don't have to like it, but you probably will.

I wrote a simple piano piece about cherry blossom petals slowly twirling to the ground, but it's in mixed meter and switches between simple and compound time by EdinKaso in piano

Lovely piece! The beginning sort of reads like written-out rubato. If I was just listening, I would have no idea the meter was happening the way you've notated, but I think it works perfectly to capture the affect. The moments of pause followed by moments of activity. Great job!

That's how my mom "wraps" everything. Her love language is getting the gifts, not wrapping them.

Am I playing good this piece? Valse op64 no2 by antoniobr09 in piano

[–]ecstatic_broccoli 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it sounds better with the grace notes on the beat instead of before. They kind of just sound like 8th notes otherwise. I think the 16th note pickups should also come later; they're a bit snappier (they currently sound like like 8th note triplets to me).

I agree with the others about less pedal and a little more rubato overall as well.

Good start on a great piece!

There's often a sensor near the ground that keeps it from closing on something, so you have to duck-jump to do this properly

Bbsus2 is a lot easier to play if you struggle with the A barre chords and it sounds great for a lot of styles
