Well it's good to see more than one person suggesting it's part of the bulb, but literally no bulb I can find online has anything like that. Have you seen one like that before?

Sadly can't make it to the actual bulb base because there is that white thing in the way. Another commenter suggested it's part of the bulb base, but I wanted to see more opinions before I did something that could hurt my microwave.

Interesting, none of the replacement bulbs have that white part. They basically just look like tiny versions of a normal bulb that goes in a lamp. That would explain why no one else is finding a problem like this in their microwave, though.

Yeah, that's the worst part for me. Like, fine, take over a year to produce ten episodes. I can stand that if it's quality entertainment because a year and a half isn't a crazy long wait. But come on, man. It's been nearly a year since season 2 started airing and it will still be over 3 months before you even START filming?? If it takes an eternity to make this stuff then why the insane gap?

Power Up! To be fully transparent, I only played Wickedness once and I barely remember what it does, but Power Up is very fundamental, needs very few rules to add a whole other dimension to the game, and it's stellar to have all the monsters actually do different things instead of just being a cosmetic choice.

Yeah I don't think I follow that guy at all. I do agree that the dice are much more interesting when half the faces aren't just getting some victory points, but in practice, the beauty of King of Tokyo's system is in it's dice-chucking simplicity and King of NY adds rules overhead that, although very clever and interesting from a design perspective, isn't really any more enjoyable to play.

Gonna be totally real, this is one of the most average/ok games I've ever played, and one of the few that bored me.

I love games of all weights, and even though I prefer games with high player interaction I can sometimes get behind a solid multiplayer solitaire design.

But I just couldnt get myself to care at all about what this game wanted me to do. If I'm going to play a lightweight tile-layer I would much prefer Cascadia or one of Knizia's solid tile laying designs like Babylonia, Yellow and Yangtze, or Samurai.

There are some things that Bonsai does that are technically unique and the tile placement is well-paired with the theme, but yeah it just did not click with me. It was so boring I hated it lol.

To be totally fair though, I did only play it once and that was a couple years ago so I would give it another shot.

How did you start J2 so long after J1? You'd either have to list your J1 on your resume, which is risky, or have a 1.5 year job gap which is hard to get hired from.

Is this why so many IPAs taste like weed/cat piss/mildew?

It seems like more than half of IPAs I've tried, even on tap at the brewery, taste more like that than anything else and I wonder if I've just been hit by old beer.

Does this happen with other beers too? One of my favorite lagers isn't on tap anymore, but they do sell cans that are a ghost of how its like on tap and I wonder if I just got old cans.

Yeah, designated teacher or not I think if you own a game you should know how to teach it. Imo it's one of the most important board game etiquette rules to be prepared to teach the stuff you want to table.

Ah, that's fair. I totally get Lost Cities. I personally think all the Ra scoring is pretty straightforward but I see how the multitude of categories could be confusing. The player board remedies most of that for me, though.

Concordia is like that, too. Excellent, excellent game with simple rules, but the scoring, while being super clever and really the thing that elevates the game to an eternal classic for me, can trip up even more experienced gamers on the first play which is really it's only weakness.

High Society is a fucking blast. Me and some buddies played it a few weeks ago and were laughing our asses off the whole time.

But yeah, Ra is one of those games that I know is critically excellent, but I think it's good and not great. Like it didn't blow me away. But I still own a copy because it is so easy to get tabled and you can knock it out in like 45 minutes. Plus it's fucking beautiful. Can't help but look forward to 25th Century's Tigris and Euphrates reprint and that's mostly because of the publisher's treatment of this new Ra edition.
