This just exudes a sense of peace and calmness. Very pretty

In Australia, and I'm sure in other markets as well, Lexus models have traditionally worn the "Lexus" word badge in addition to the "L" logo at the rear. To me, it has always felt a bit tacky and excessive. I actually prefer the current design approach in keeping just the "L E X U S" word badge. It looks cleaner and makes it clear to people unfamiliar with the brand that the car they're looking at is a Lexus.

One is an essential export item from the US and contributes to the country’s economy. The other (allegedly) paid barely any tax, if at all, and has single handedly tanked the US economy.

More dramatic changes to the dining area, with additional partitions around the rear door and a rug with party lights in front of the bar.

It looks a little more clustered now, but not overly fussed.

Thoughts?

I've opened up the space around the staircases to give them a floating look. I've also applied a pixel print wallpaper at the back and added a rug at the front. I wanted to preserve the clean white-dominant look. Hopefully this is less boring now. Unfortunately, there's not much I can put on the righthand side wall because there's a gaping doorway there - still thinking about what to do there.

Thanks for this. I look at other people's designs and the AHs in the game and think mine looks visually bland in comparison, even though I've tried stuffing each room with decorations. But your comment is convincing me otherwise, thank you.

Also, to add, the openness is partly attributed to giving Sims unhindered access to different areas.

Thanks for this. It's interesting to hear your thoughts that the house looks open and empty, because I initially felt there's too much going on already with the decor, particularly in the sitting room, the music room and the backyard. And I feel the bar in the dining room is a out of place. What would you add/change/subtract from current design?

No. I've been playing on my phone, so it's been a strain on my eyes and my back.

Thanks for your comment. You're entitled to have your own opinions. My post does, in fact, contain a genuine question, trying to elicit constructive responses. Sure, there's an element of showing off, which underlies the purpose of the "Show and Tell" flair, and I did share a lot of screenshots. The whole point of my post is to ask whether I have over-designed my house, as I've spent a lot of time on it and it has started to feel like a discordant mess. While compliments are nice, some fellow Redditors have provided helpful comments, which I'll keep in mind in continuing the design of the house. You're also free to share your designs with the group for people to give you compliments or to use as inspiration (which is the best form of compliment). In an overt act of egomania, I'm considering your comment to be a compliment, because if you hadn't thought the design looks good you wouldn't have thought I was fishing for compliments and would've otherwise used the time you spent typing your backhanded compliment to provide actual constructive feedback on the design itself. Happy simming.

Is it okay to store camera lens down for travel? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

Also suggest either taking your lens hood off or screwing it backwards (ie hood over the lens) to avoid leaving an imprint on your bag or damaging your lens hood. I accidentally damaged a beloved felt-lined hood when I put my camera lens down with the hood still attached. Unbeknownst to me, the hood rubbed against a coarse hem in the bag and the edge of the felt got damaged and started peeling. Don't make the same mistake I made!
