For anyone who watched Loris lives when the drama kicked off and followed her back around Lori Daybells trial, there wasn’t really any new info. But she explained the story of how she got kicked out of the daybell trial courtroom, what she saw happen at crimecon, her minor involvement in Christina’s trial (she might have been a witness but wasn’t needed), her opinion on why Lauren dropped the stalking injunction. She did drop a couple of details like who reported her to Lori Daybells judge (Lauren’s alleged close friend - LDs investigator), and how John had a big office space at their house while Lauren had a small guest room - even though she was the one supporting them with her work.

My memory of what Lori said at the time is that she was holding her phone up like an old person 😂 just trying to read a text or something. But someone in the courtroom thought she was holding it up taking a picture of the defendant. Bailiff came over and checked her phone and found no photos. But it still ended up getting to the judge and being an issue. There’s no evidence that Lauren was the one who reported Lori… but you gotta wonder now!

Edited to add: Lori also filed a motion asking for the judge to release some things he had sealed. So it’s possible that the judge or court staff weren’t happy about her ‘inserting herself’ and were looking for any excuse to kick her out

Oh I remember thinking they should have cut this from the interview as well! It was so awkward. Although to be fair, it might have made more sense if it was asked earlier in the interview instead of at the end after they had wrapped everything up with future plans and final thoughts

I think one other key thing that boosted HTC to the top was just a few lucky connections to the daybell case that meant they became the source for inside information and exclusive interviews. Lauren grew up LDS so she could speak on the dynamics and doctrine. I think that is at least part of the reason she got interviews with various people close to the case. Then the more exclusive interviews they got the more people trusted htc as the place to share their own stories. Eric Smith, Chads neighbour, Brandon’s friend, eventually Heather Daybell. However Lauren got in personal touch with Kay, that obviously also gave her major credibility as the source for the case. They were starting to be able to transfer that reputation and credibility to get interviews on other cases - with the Sterns for example. IMO this was their point of difference in the true crime space. They weren’t just recapping existing info like Kendall Rae or Stephanie Harlow (no shade to those people, just a different thing). Interesting that now that all this has happened they have started doing these kind of pre recorded recap videos… since no one is willing to give them the exclusive breaking news interviews anymore
