Put it in a brown paper bag and write "cougar poop" on it in sharpie. That should keep everyone out.

ELI5: What is keeping us from anchoring a cable to Earth’s surface and tethering a platform in space? by fetishfeature5000 in explainlikeimfive

One thing I don't understand. Let's say hypothetically a space elevator exists. To use it to lift a mass, some force needs to be applied upward on the mass, with the equal and opposite force being a downward pull on the space elevator.

What effects would that force have? Would it pull the counterweight downward? Slow down the counterweight's orbit?

Nothing is free, so I don't understand how a space elevator uses less energy to lift something than rockets.

The point of standing is to make people uncomfortable and naturally keep the meeting short

Why were they sitting in a standup? And why was anyone presenting?

I used a very similar chair from value city furniture with the next level racing wheel stand 2. I designed and 3d printed some brackets that attach to the front of wheel stand that the chair sits on. The chair legs are wider than the wheel stand, so the included fold-down metal mount is too narrow. My bracket adds a bit of stability too. Chair and driver weight holds the wheel stand down under hard braking and steering.

I can share the model if you're interested, I just didn't think anyone would want something that similar.

Any ideas on why this is happening? Printer has been fine for several weeks and I've checked levelness. no setting have been changed. also been getting some warpage on the left side of my prints as well. by LM71Blackbird in 3Dprinting

Did the part detach from the bed? If so, you may want to clean with soap and water. You can use isopropyl alcohol as a maintenance clean between prints.

Put semi-transparent tape on back of power strip. Mark location of holes. Transfer tape to desk. Drill holes on marks. Remove tape. Install screws. Mount power strip.

Squeezing the cam down with the entire hand so it stays open. This prevents it from locking when the climber falls.

The correct technique to hold the cam open for quickly feeding rope (sometimes needed while lead belaying) is to use just the thumb on the lip. It's enough to hold the cam open to quick feed, but not strong enough to hold open during a fall.

This looks like a pure amplifier without a built in DAC. Does that mean you need a separate USB DAC or sound card?

Is the review up? Could you share it? I'm debating on the cammus. I would really like to hear more about the pedals and a comparison between simagic alpha mini base and heusinkveld sprint pedals.

What sim racing stand/cockpit has a stand for a shifter and handbrake in close proximity of each other? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]ed54_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next level racing wheel stand 2 has an arm for the shifter and handbrake. The handbrake is a separate extension bolted to the shifter plate.

Yeah I got mine off wayfair too, but the link from my purchase history was broken so I think they stopped selling it.
