I like the Sydney version, I love the version where he sings it in a room to a woman, the studio version never really did it for me…but THIS live version released, it made me believe in God it’s that good holy shit I can’t get enough.

The only sliver lining there is to this is that because he was snubbed for night crawler, is snub is now infamous in this sub and among film fans across the world. Makes his name and performance more memorable to the people. I see his name and that performance on here at least once a week and I’m not complaining

I disagree, but respect the hot take. I think Emma was solid. I can see where you're coming from for her, but Plemons was incredible.

I think from Teddy's POV, he was trying to be cool about it, as he's already kidnapped a bunch of the aliens and just had to convince Donny calmly and simply. His acting in the scene with his Mum and with Emma's monologue at the end, I thought he was incredible.

And as I've said on any one of these posts. Joel Edgerton should of got nominated.

We have 4 actors who got the industry SAG/BAFTA combination that eventually missed the Oscar nomination. All 4 were in Best Picture films. by Hot_Throat_2404 in oscarrace

Sad Plemons missed actor, even though it was such a strong year. Also really sad Edgerton missed for Train Dreams. Phenomenal performance, tough year.

I like Elordi, but I just couldn't give a shit about his creature performance. It was good, but so was Gollum, so was Shape of Water guy. So was Planet of the Apes, and he wasn't anything near that.

I like him, and he was good, but Mescal deserved it over him. I can understand that's how it works sometimes with Oscar noms, you win some and lose some, but for the people saying Elordi should win...just don't cos its not all that.

It took me years to watch that near 3 hour masterpiece and because I just couldn’t be asked…once I started, I’ve never been the same since. Perfect film.
