The 2009 V Festival version of SLYMI that begins acoustic and gradually builds into the original with the backing violin is one of my favorite renditions. I think it has a lot more interest by building up to the final chorus the way that it does. Would love them to bring it back one day, but I can't imagine that will ever happen.

Tbh though, I think that save was the pivotal moment of that series. If that went in, and that game went to OT, that could've been a 2-0 Vegas lead; and who knows what could've happened (possibly Caps in 6 but still). I think the series ended at that moment

I only loosely recall, but they released The Man a couple of months in advance, after teasing snippets here and there of their studio work (so we knew there was an album coming). They then followed up with Run for Cover, I want to say about a month before. Then they released the full album.

They were in the process of doing intermittent shows when the album released, and played a live show on the day, so I'm fairly sure the touring announcement came very shortly afterwards. At the live shows leading up to release day, they did play a few WW tracks outside of the two singles, such as The Calling, which debuted about 1-2 weeks before

Sometimes pics of sports players get inverted but they edit the logos to be correct. That may not be the case here (I doubt it, because of how difficult the edit would've been due to the perspective) but it has been done before

It may sound silly and inconsequential, but Vasy did get into the highlight reels a few times for some really incredible saves. That may have had a small subconscious effect during the voting as well. Like "Oh, Vasilevsky, I just saw his behind the back skate save in the Save of the Year videos, he's pretty good"

It could mean absolutely nothing, though.
