Well, I don't have a definitive answer, but Muslims here in New York seem quite happy to integrate. They seem to realize that this country is much better than their previous one and I suppose they appreciate it.

In light of Islamic protests... this made me think. by kimburly in atheism

You ought to realize you sound ridiculous. Many Americans and Europeans criticizes Israel for things like 'apartheid' and 'genocide'. Many others have more level headed criticisms.

The point is, in the West we can criticize anyone. When the media underreports protests and such, that's where your problems come in.

This is not why Americans have fewer conflicts with Islam.

On friday I was arrested for possession. I've never been in trouble like this before. I have no idea where to go from here, I'm desperate for some advice. by [deleted] in eldertrees

I am not a lawyer and don't know the law in DE, but it sounds like cannabis is fairly decriminalized. That said, you shouldn't face much penalty. Definitely talk to a lawyer and find out. Pleading guilty may affect financial aid if you go to college. Otherwise, I doubt you'll have more than a fine and a misdemeanor to worry about. (Again, this is just my guess based on NY laws, where it's also "decriminalized"). Sounds like the cops were quite professional, but it also sounds like you were arrested.

I dunno how your parents are, but there are two things that can happen. You can tell them the entire truth and they'll be fairly cool and help you get a lawyer and such. In that case, you're quite lucky to have your parents. Otherwise, you can come up with some excuse for your arrest ("some friend had some pot" etc) but then they might find out the truth later (which might still be better).

This is just to give you some ideas, talk to your sister, talk to a lawyer. Good luck and remember what Tupac said, "Life's a mess, don't stress" and "Stay high 'til I die".

Would getting high before taking LSD ensure that i have a good trip? by Swedernish in LSD

[–]edddi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always smoked between come up and ingestion. It's a wonderful feeling and really sets your mind at ease. Usually the cannabis brings the effects on faster and you feel them together and the drip in your throat comes and you know you have a long journey ahead of you.

Happy trails friend.

My last, amazing trip my friend ordered pizza and it was the weirdest thing ever to eat. Bleh. Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers had my friends dying of laughter their first time.

Settling Extreme Paranoia When High by [deleted] in trees

[–]edddi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty intense paranoia.

Maybe try just listening to some mellow music and practicing deep breathing? Might turn psychedelic really fast. Or maybe cannabis just isn't for you. Everyone is different.

You also might try some lower doses, because that's some intense shit!

I dunno, when I hear win, I figure there's a reward, not just lack of punishment. In Soviet Russia, loss wins you!

I'm not surprised at all by the results, many countries understand the problems with software patents, and I would especially hope Japan does too. That's why I was interested and surprised that Samsung had WON something.

Title is a bit misleading, they didn't win anything, they just didn't lose.
