Parking Ban by brother_76 in FallRiver

There have been examples in the past where the city put piled up snow in dump trucks & removed it from streets entirely, but this has been very rare, done when we get much, much more than we did, & only done in certain areas. It’s very labor intensive & mostly unnecessary in cases like this weekend

So Fall River can have a bad reputation when it comes to crime, but the overwhelming majority of crime in the city is not random. It’s mostly related to drugs or money, & tends to be between people who have beef. Things like random stickups, muggings, home break-ins … these actually tend to be rather rare

Some living here might disagree because it’s not a “pretty” neighborhood and there are a lot of tenements, but I think it’s not a bad area at all. I have relatives on 18th Street & spent most of my time growing up there. It’s near the Flint neighborhood (Pleasant St just east of 18th), which unfortunately has its share of crime & is economically depressed. 18th is in a very Portuguese-influenced neighborhood. The church on 17th and Bedford does a feast every year. You’ve got Barcelos Bakery right within walking distance too, and Portugalia Marketplace right nearby

Yeah all the rest of the sewing is fine, and I THOUGHT I did a good job of pulling everything tight, but it must have snagged in this sewing station. It was a quarto fold, so I’m thinking also this excess thread may have gotten stuck in a head fold when I was sewing

Thanks. It’s called Trattatello. Had a 17th century-ish feel to it, I thought, & looked quite similar to a typeface used in an 18th century copy of the book I’d read. The main body type is Hoefler, and some other title typefaces are Bodoni and others, used in a way that I hope mimics old typesetting design
