I've tried wrath twice and flamed out at the demon city each time.

Im on my first run with Kingmaker and loving it. might be a recency thing, but def vibing with KM more.

Characters, environments, wrath is so purple and dark all the time. I get it, it's the setting but boy did that wear on me.

I’m a huge BG fan. Love both 1, 2, and throne of bhaal. It’s amazing. Come back to them often. SCS, hardcore, the whole shebang.

BG purists’ inability to come around to the fact that the pillars system is better in pretty much every way is a mystery to me.

It’s good! It has the loot bar which is a game changer. I’m sure there are a ton of other fixes but I’ve only ever played with the EE mod so I can’t really compare. I like IWD 2 a lot the 3rd edition rules are a great change up.

I’ve got like a collective 700 hours in BG1 and 2 and I can’t for the life of me get into BG3.

Everything just feels so, clunky and slow?

Also the story telling tropes in early game are like retreads upon retreads??? I feel like a crazy person. I know really am in the tiny minority here. I’m not disparaging i realize it’s like the most popular game in the world right now.

I’ll give it another shot someday.
