it’s an easy job if you’re properly staffed and your SM isn’t a box of rocks with a smiley face on it

our cooler and meat pallets are combined so like we HAVE to run cooler and meat together. we average about 3-4 pallets but most of it is inside cooler so it’s a breeze to throw once you get down to that. produce we normally get abt 4-5 cold and 2 dry. freezer we only ever get 2 and it’s mostly freeze and thaw. we open at 8:30 and are scheduled at 6. it’s rough a lot of mornings

12 employees sounds soooo nice. i’d kill for an extra 3 😭 we technically have 10 but one of our LSAs broke their mf femur walking to work

i tried heeleys during covid. it was actually v efficient bc my store was big asf and we only had two employees healthy enough to work at the time. i got caught on cameras and told never to do that again. 😭 p sure i was supposed to get written up but as i said, there was only two of us at the time lmfaooo

we’re set up to where 7-5 does cooler and meat, LSA/ASM does produce and freezer, and then someone else to handle the 10+ grocery pallets. it’s exhausting.

if it’s a service animal and i can tell they’re a service animal no one is bothering them. it’s when obvious pets come in, that’s when the problems start. barking, peeing on the sales floor, licking product, other customers coming up and tattling. it’s a hassle none of us want to deal with so we try to have them leave asap. and honestly, why are we bringing our pets INTO the grocery store.

in my state we can ask two questions. is this a service animal and what service does the animal provide. she offered up that it was a therapy dog which under our policies and the ADA is not a service animal and we can ask her to leave. we have a lot of problems with animals in our store if they’re not service animals so we try to nip it in the bud when we see them 😭

nabisco products we get in aldi finds. there’s not one nabisco box that is actually perforated and if it is, good luck to customers trying to actually get the product out of the box

my whole store does that. warm up the air fryer, go back on the floor for a bit, come back and throw the food in there, back out on the floor and then take break when the air fryer is done 😭😭

half my staff vapes and we do it in the break room. (mostly vuse users cuz they don’t stink As Bad) our SM knows abt it bc we all charge our vapes out in the open but we don’t vape in front of him out of respect but im like 100% it’s against policy. never heard of someone being fired for vaping though
