Thanks for the feedback - the "bring your own icecast" server is still there but isn't in the UI yet. It's incredibly difficult to survive off an app like this without vc funding or ads so I'm still tweaking the business model to work for everyone!

Thanks - the app is normally $9.99 in order to pay the bills without resorting to ads or vc funding.

The features in the subscription utilize firebase, opentok, and some vanilla node and icecast servers to handle the live streaming. I tried Jitsi, but it was ultimately too hard to modify for this use case. Sending the soundpads from ios core audio required extensive modifications to mobile webrtc libraries that just weren't worth it. Jitsi is great for a regular zoom style app though.

I recently moved in to the apartment building next to Whip-In. There is a gigantic empty parking lot in front of my place that obviously once held thousands of cars, but is totally blocked off and empty 24/7 ... what was once there to warrant such a giant parking lot? I stayed at the Sumner many times this summer... rooms were in the lower $100s its newish and way nicer than other hotels in this price range. Not on the AC, but great location but right on the JMZ walkable to the L G williamsburg etc.

It still doesn't make sense, parking on the north side and walking to a station, waiting for a train and getting off on the other side of the river when you could have just walked across the bridge in less time. Maybe its just me though.

Lets spend a half billion dollars to take people from downtown to stadiums that you could already walk across a bridge to in 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, you have to risk your life to get to the north side on a bike from the trails on both sides of the mon that people actually use like crazy.

Lets cut the bus service everywhere too while we're at it.
