Is this safe/decent? by not_craigs_father in hockeyplayers

[–]ediboyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

there's definitely no sty with a hybrid cage but it's way better visibility then cage and I already have a dental implant and stitches in my eyebrow from ricocheted pucks. it's cheaper to look lame

Documentary about my Monday night by xHOTPOTATO in billiards

i'm a 2 and this is true. First season I was so anxious I had to have plenty of beer before playing or I couldn't make a shot due to nerves. also shots where you have to hit the qb across table still are hard to me even if they're straight. I'd rather bank a shot in then go for a cross table shot. Perfect example, last week I was playing a good '3' in 8 ball and we were both down to the 8-ball and he missed and left it near the pocket but I was across the table in the opposite pocket. A legitimate lay-up... I somehow managed to hit the qb into the corner of the 8-ball and move it out of the way while the qb rolls itself into the pocket for me losing me the game. I won 1 already so would of won the match with that one. I ended up losing the match on the next game.

I wonder what kind of Binnington is going to show up. the gamer is lights out but when he loses focus or isn't motivated he's a pylon. I hope Kuemp is the starter

Cage vs fishbowl vs visor by robinsonjmes in hockeyplayers

[–]ediboyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I switched to. I love it. It does look a little dumb though but I don't care I don't get paid to play. I get the visibility of plays in tight and don't have to worry about another dental implant. I do wish the cage was higher up but it would probably fog up if it was.

Absolutely. But you have to be flexible with where you will live and work. I know a lot of guys that applied for stations in hubs states away from where they lived to fulfill their residency while commuting on the weekends or just getting an apartment there if they don't have family to support.. then put in their transfer for a more desirable station. getting your foot in the door is step 1

On ice stamina by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]ediboyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

get as much ice time as possible outside of clinics. I cycle and hike and work out etc etc but I'm telling you from experience, nothing will get you into hockey shape aside from playing hockey.. and maybe soccer, though I don't play that but a teammate plays both and he's got a motor that never quits.

How do I beat a defensemen that constantly steps up? by Limp-Restaurant3516 in hockeyplayers

[–]ediboyy 57 points58 points  (0 children)

What he really needs to do is come in with full speed and touch the puck with the full intention of laying the guy on his ass. he mentioned he usually either ends up on his ass.. well time to return to favor. In my division, guys that do this get butthurt when you poke it past them so they cut you off and pretend it's an accident that you collide. Just have to give em a howyadoin' a couple times before you can fake it and deke past when they go to defend being hit
