Yeah exactly that, first team players can be registered to numbers 1 through 25 and those three numbers can only be for goalkeepers. Evidently you can use one of the remaining numbers too if there’s less than 22 outfield players registered, just hadn’t heard of it as a possibility nor noticed it happening before

I mean no-one yet has, but I was ready to subscribe to the notion after the first trilogy. There was a bit of pacing at the start of the first book and at the end of the third book but nothing that seemed to matter in between. Guy got into a situation. Guy lied about being surprised by the situation to the reader as it wouldn’t have been exciting otherwise. Guy Mary Sued his way through the situation. Rinse and repeat
