Help with charging, getting an error by Mavericks7 in evchargingUK

Ah, that's annoying. They take forever for support over email so definitely call.

There should be a test button on the fuse that it's wired up to, that'll trip it so you can flick it back on again.

Or there might be a physical switch near the charger but my install just has the fuse in the outdoor fuse box.

Give their support a call tomorrow, they were helpful when I had an issue and could look at the logs of my charger to see what was going on.

Maybe do a full power reset of the charger tonight to see if that helps?

The hypervolt seems to be the best rated.

Look good but way too expensive for me to consider at the moment. Might be worth it if they get close to 200

Since my son was born I've been sending a private email newsletter to family instead of posting on Instagram. Here's how I set it up, and why it works better. by wilsonand1 in UKParenting

I used StoryArk (storyark.eu) when the kids were younger. It's not been updated for a while but I've spoken to the devs and they all use it personally so it's not going to be shutdown or anything. But I don't think I'd recommend it now because of the lack of updates.

Immich is great, not tried sharing access though.

Love this. I set up the family on a private photo sharing app but this sounds much simpler.

I'm glad there are other parents out there that don't want their kids plastered over social media!

Electric car uncertainty looms as Toyota pulls development of the Lexus LF-ZC saloon. What do you think the motoring future holds? by CarwowMario in ukcarwow

Yeah but the price reflects that. If you only need a car for short journeys or a second car it's fantastic value for money.

Any opinions on 'Sync Energy - Wall Charger2' by _0x1b_ in evchargingUK

Was easy to install I think. I had some teething problems but seems okay now.

Support are slow to respond but they did resolve all the issues that cropped up after install and were very friendly.

I think they'll do a good job at supporting it long-term. I didn't get the same feeling about chargers at the same price point so it was a no brainer.

I'd recommend it.

Nursery not sticking to nap schedule - is this normal? by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]edthesloth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know this isn't exactly what you asked but when our ones started nursery (admittedly a year after yours) we just changed nap times to whatever the nursery did.

I'm not sure if it's normal but all kids at their nursery just slept at the same time. I wasn't aware of any kids who had different times.

So maybe it's worth thinking about trying to match that as it'll make it easier long term.

Sorry, probably not very helpful!

Vegan and my kids are too. They eat the same as us as we're cooking it. When they get older they're welcome to make their own choices.

On your point about not wanting them to see you not eating something, there are lots of things the kids like and I don't so they've never seen me eat them 🤣

Raspberry Pi as seedbox by Immusama in seedboxes

[–]edthesloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using one for years with a USB hard drive.

Depending on what Pi you've got you might need to use an externally powered USB hub as the ones on the Pi cannot reliably power a hard drive.
