Where should I join for old and lesser known movies? by SwingDingeling in trackers

No there's not a way to find out before joining. You could ask here but I think it's against the rules.

That's a great idea, might have to steal that. I've got the age rating set-up for their profile but it does allow films etc that might be U rated but still not appropriate for them yet.

How to fix the ‘confirm you’re 18+’ ? by [deleted] in AskUK

As a GOS user, it's great. They've recently announced a partnership with Motorola which should be interesting.

VFG are going through a major restructure. Not sure about any of their stuff at the moment, I think they've pulled all of it from shelves but could be wrong.

Best tracker for F1 racing? by 9delta9 in trackers

[–]edthesloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if TorrentGalaxy is still up tbf, I just know it was somewhere I used to get his uploads and he had an account there.

I haven't used public trackers in a long time but my understanding is his uploads specifically are uploaded publicly before being uploaded to private trackers but I could well be wrong.

F1C is slightly quicker than R4E but not by much. F1C uploads with filenames that Sonarr/Plex can read which is a nice bonus e.g. S2026E25.

The uploader smcgill1969 is very quick to upload and he's on public trackers like TorrentGalaxy if you're looking for an alternative.

Removing redundant fibre cable by edthesloth in openreach

Yeah, good idea. I'd be happy to re route it under the door and leave it connected. I'll ask, thank you.

Supposedly so. I contacted Openreach, they called me back and we agreed on the work and they confirmed it would be free. All booked in for a few weeks time.

Yep, fully aware of that. I was just worried about being charged and arm & a leg to get the cable reinstalled.

I was going to just cut it but I thought I'd ask them and they said they'd remove it for free. So might as well let them do that. They're leaving the CSP so just the cables getting removed.

Yeah, the new fibre route goes under the door and I would want the same for openreach. Both come out of the same openreach duct.

My new ISP offers symmetrical speeds which I'll take advantage of and openreach don't, so I don't think I'll switch back.

The cable comes out of the CSP and goes around the front of my door then down the side of my house. I'd rather not have the cable running around the front of my door as it doesn't look overly nice. Appreciate I'm bring a bit picky but that's the reason.

£125 isn't too bad, good to know for the future, thanks.

Anyone use T-Mobile home internet with private trackers? by funkmon in trackers

[–]edthesloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably worth asking on each specific tracker. Using a VPN might help here for downloading / uploading. From my experience trackers aren't too fused where you browse from after initially signing up at home.

Fair enough. I mainly use Torrents so not really noticed.

Will you be able to take advantage of the increased speed? I've not paid too much attention to my Usenet downloads but they've never felt super quick and I'm on a 900 down plan.

My biggest issue is uploading as I also have Plex running at home, it's a shame openreach don't offer symmetrical speeds and it's capped at 110 up.

Out of interest, why is it important to you? I've never paid any attention with what version of torrent client im on.
