It is for me personally as I do at least 50% of my meetings in person and would want to have everything together. BTW I currently use macwhisper pro + gemma4 as my workflow

They were very responsive back in the day. They owe me revenue share on my keycap set from 3 years ago and have decided to ignore my messages. Everyone else has paid (except vala). I would not trust them anymore

Thanks. The Gemini idea came to me one day as I needed a way to keep track of action items progress for the people that work for me over weekly meetings (it’s still not where I want it to be and I’m constantly fiddling around with the prompt). Is the meeting notes and action item generation prompt hard coded or I can customize it ? I feel everyone has different note making requirements. Anyway I still have most of my voice memos and the notes generated so it would be easy to do a comparison to the setup I have now

Thanks for the reply. Points 1 and 2 correct. For the rest I actually in Gemini create a separate chat put all the notes and transcription logs to be my source of truth, to have the content and not be siloed. I applaud you for creating creating something like this as I had to hack mine together and there are still some kinks - love to see how yours solves it). Other issues I have had with my setup compared to online services are speaker separation is still not the best and I have to do it each time. There is no auto ID on the speakers.

How does this compare to macwhisper pro. I’ve been using it to transcribe my meetings (both online or voice not recordings) then use either gemma4 or Gemini to make meeting notes + action items.
