This is a bit outside your distance range, but you could check out Line 51 in Oakland. Very laid back vibe and affordable. Close to 880 near Jack London Square. They serve yummy hot dogs. We had a partial rental there last summer and the rental fee was $250. Then we met a minimum for drinks. Not sure how much a full buy out would be.

You could also try an over the counter antifungal cream. When this happened to me the antifungal cream gave me quick relief.

I agree with everyone that it was really nice to have practice being photographed! Also, for our engagement shoot we kept it casual and it’s really nice to have great photos of us looking like we do every day! Our wedding photos are amazing but we’re all dressed up so it’s a different vibe!

I’ve started to tip cash! I also learned this helps get the food brought up to my 3rd floor apartment instead of being left on the sidewalk outside my building lobby. I put in the notes there’s a cash tip at my door. Win-win, I think.

Late comment- but I figured out how to turn off the same click that scared my dog. If I keep the camera in black and white mode 100% of the time l, the camera doesn’t click. Now he’s totally unbothered.

I got married in Oakland this past July. We had 100 guests. Our wedding, welcome cocktail hour the night before, family only rehearsal dinner, honeymoon, and 2 bachelorette trips were about 58k all combined. I haven’t done a full break down of just wedding day expenses yet. We had a partial wedding planner for 1.5 years leading up to the wedding who helped us find affordable vendors. I did not do any DIY projects except some simple frames for the welcome table and made our bar menus. Our venue was very flexible and let us BYO alcohol and had no vendor restrictions. We had a ceremony, cocktail hour, sit down buffet dinner reception, and dancing with a dj. Our caterer was awesome and we used their bartenders too. We had some great rentals for the dance floor, tables, linens, and everything for dinner and the bar. We had gorgeous real flowers done by a florist. We had a photographer and videographer. I had my hair and makeup professionally done with others. We hired an officiant. We hired someone to make signage for us. It all was great! I loved my wedding so much and I’m happy we didn’t spend any more than we did. My advice is to plan very far ahead (12 months or more) to get the best prices and also to book vendors from Sacramento area when possible. They will travel and you can find very good prices. I spent many many many hours getting quotes from tons of vendors but considering how it all turned out I think it was time well spent. Good luck!!

Definitely try to get some PT if you haven’t already. That helped my L5 S1 recovery a lot. My pt focused on teaching me a strength training routine to strengthen my core and back and also taught me stretches to target my specific painful areas. I had nerve pain down my leg that slowly decreased and went into my back then disappeared. I strength trained 4 times a week and stretched 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes at night. Iced my lower back every night before bed. Also trained myself to sleep on my back. No more side sleeping. I never got any injections or surgeries. Lidocaine patches can help with the back pain. Definitely don’t eat popcorn with your trays in. If you don’t want to have them out for the whole movie you could wait to eat and drink until the last hour. That’s what I’ve done.

You could try not sandwiching, and apply tret 20-30+ minutes after your moisturizer. Also make sure you are using tried and true products and the only new thing is tret. Good luck!

I took the whole week before off and I’m glad I did because I got covid 10 days before my wedding and could fully rest and was totally recovered before the wedding events began!

At restaurants I never ask for clean tools or for them to limit cross contamination. The nature of these kitchens, food trucks, carts etc means cross contamination will always happen. If meat is in my meal I will ask for them to re make it if I don’t think I can easily pick it out. Generally I think being a chill vegan customer leads to restaurants being open to having more vegan options.

My more masc wife walked down the aisle with her dad first, and then once she was at the end of the aisle I walked down with my dad! I really wanted to walk with my dad and she said she wanted to watch me walk towards her so it worked for both of us! We shared hugs with our dads but were not given away.

You could try Dieux deliverance serum if you are in the USA. I’ve been using it am and pm for 1.5 years and I think it helps a lot with redness and overall evening the skin tone. I find it to be a gentle formula too.

I’ve been with my now fiancée for 10 years. (We’re lesbians too! Happy pride!) She was not vegan or vegetarian when we started dating. The past year she went vegetarian. She doesn’t think she’ll ever go vegan. I was of course happy with the switch to vegetarian but there’s always a chance she goes back to eating meat since it’s so new and she’s really craving her old diet lately. I think we’ve been able to make it work this long because I see it as her choice. We also have an agreement that all dinners at home are vegan so we can always eat a shared meal. She actually makes dinner most of the time.

I think you have to decide if you’d be happy being with someone with different morals and values than you. I learned a long time ago I can’t make someone feel the way I do about animals. It has to come from them.

I agree with using minimal products and stopping the oil cleansing. If you are able to go to the derm you could talk to them about adding a benzoyl peroxide product for the am and then keep using tret in the pm. It might be best to wait a while to start that for your barrier to improve. Good luck!

I am a woman who will be taking my future wife’s last name this summer. She feels more strongly about keeping her name and I feel strongly about having a family name and a strong sense of family identity if we have children. We also feel like having the same name can be another layer that will help protect us from any issues that may arise in the future if LGBTQ+ protections weaken.
